Re: TT bubble hard decision?

But you are also trying to place first or second. Calling would be my play. You want to be the one busting the players so you can win. If the other players bust them now they are going to be in a...

Re: For Newbies – Improve your middle play – Hand Lesson 1

[ QUOTE ]
The ONLY way I fold this is if I know that the button got his stack by seeing lots o' flops and gambling it up.

The only way I fold this hand is if someones hand...

Re: My new hobby...

[ QUOTE ]

I usually don't report guys who are truly terrible, but I think there are a bunch of mediocre full game players (vpip 23-27ish, aggro too high, steal too much, overdefend) who know that...

Re: I could see his cards, but did I make the right decision

I agree with your analysis he is overbetting his marginal hand. If you get it heads up you will probably be in a coinflip or a nice fav against a weak Ace.

I think this is a tough/close decision....

Re: Beyond 15/30 (online)

Sometimes the 100-200 game on stars looks quite good.

Tournaments are a lot of fun. Very different from cash game where you can reload and come and go as you please. The rising blinds and...

Re: Overthinking a sledgehammer?

Calling with AK once in a while to vary your play is fine especially if you play against these guys a lot.

Going for the ch raise on the river is a good play. It wins a bet from a busted flush...

Re: people with a lot of posts who play micro-limit (little content)

[ QUOTE ]
The lurkers who read HH after HH and absorb the information but only have 100 posts are far more likely to be better players than the non-stop mouth-pieces like myself who get involved in...

Re: Fold it here? Overpair JJ vs. all-in raise and call

I would lean towards folding. If you are beat you are in big trouble. If you have the best hand, you will probably be lucky to win half the time. Of course you would have +EV, but get knocked out...

Re: First Hand of WSOP 2005

The person has decided they are going all in on the first hand years in advance.

If they had AA wouldn't they open for a normal raise?

Well anything is possible, I would quickly call with KK. ...

Re: My new hobby...

Thanks

How smart do you think these rude guys(this isn't actually the word or series of words I am thinking of) are chasing off/educating the bad players? I think we all should report the ones...

Re: Move up to juicy game above your limits?

This is how you move up:
1. Wait for a good game--some raising with 94 UTG sound pretty good to me---but if he is a true maniac the game will play more like 20-40.
2. Play with money you can...

Re: AKs: I raise, get reraised....

From your description it seems the fishy player may tend to be more of a caller. In that case his reraise may be a very good hand.

You can still cansider pushing here, but with double the ave...

Re: Lead with this straight draw?

Your lead is fine and so is your laydown.

The most important thing is that you are not looking for a formula. Vary your play. Sometimes lead, sometimes lead and reraise, sometimes check and...

Re: Standard fold with 99?

I prefer raising the flop.

With a double raise behind you, folding is the standard play.

Re: What\'s your move?

Your opp would probably have bet a straight draw maybe even a gut shot, so this would be a textbook time to slowplay. You have position so it doesn't get any better than this.

On the turn, I...
