Re: How do I get better at Stud Hilo

I've run extremely bad lately at the stud 2/4 table on PP. I've dropped a few $50-$70 buy-ins. It's really just from me getting too creative, and playing hands I shouldn't be playing. Stuff like...

I reraise 4th, the guy pairing his door card doesn't scare me that much (considering a 2 just hit seat 8), the reraise should give you a feel for where you are in the hand. ...

Taking notes on players.

Will someone give me some suggestions on your procedures for taking notes? Perhaps you could post a copy of the notes you have on a player of your choice (leave out the name if you like).

Re: Who 3-bets the river?

I also cap this one all the way to the bank. I quietly chuckle to myself when I see him reraise on the river too.

Re: Unexpected Re-raises - How would you play this one?

[ QUOTE ]
You are right.

This idiot had me on tilt for a while and I wanted to bust him so bad I was using "the jacks and nines are live" to go to the river.

This idiot eventually went bust (I...

Re: 2 hands to be reviewed. PP 2/4 hi/low

[ QUOTE ]
1. Fold 3rd. Looks good other than that though...I would probably just bet 4th because check-raising might give away your hand to better players.

2. What is your read on seat 2? IF you...

2 hands to be reviewed. PP 2/4 hi/low

I'm wondering, should I slow play this on 4th to keep Seat 2 in the hand?

Something I'd like to note. I'm not posting this here because I want to complain about my bad beat. I'm posting this here because I want to get better. I killed this game on a very consistent...

As a side note, you probably shouldn't have been capping this like crazy. There are other things to consider in a poker hand other than what you have.

In this hand, you say "I can't...

How does everyone recover from tilt?

I mentioned in another post. I don't have the hand history, it went like this:

5th:
(QH QC) QS QD JS
(XX XX) 6S 7S 10S

All you need to know was that betting was capped the rest of the way. ...

Re: Does anyone else play 2/4 hi/low at party poker?

How is the 10/20, that's too rich for me.

Though, some of the calling stations at the 2/4 can get quite annoying. You'll get guys that will reraise you on (35)8, then they'll call you down...
