Re: How bad is this?

Looks fine to me. Avg stack is really pretty unimportant here though.

That's a HORRID structure Cactus!

I played my first live tournament the other day. $100 buy-in at the Tampa Hard Rock. Only 57 entrants, but no shortage on donks.

Re: Are small live tournaments easier than online??

I've played around 300 tournaments online, mostly $20-$50 with a dozen $100+ thrown in. I've won 2 pure MTTs (and a couple DSs and such), and the fields were around 200 people in the ones that I won....

It's fine to fold here, depending on your reads. The flat call worries me, and even with loose players, three-handed isn't all that great a situation for AK anyway. ...

Re: Fold My Set?

AA/AKh/AQh/AJh seems right. Those are the only hands you need to be worried about. Even against this range only you're 42%, so throwing in 10% for bluffs, and xx% for times villain is semi-bluffing...

Re: bad call of an all in?

I don't think this is very debatable at all.

UTG raise and an EP push. Figuring UTG's range as 88+, AQ+, KQ and shortstacks as 22+, A9+, KQ you are around 26% against that range.

Hero busts his smaller pair. How often will someone be playing QQ/KK/AA this way? I say AQ/AK/77/88/99/JJ

Re: 20 table SNG TT vs. all in and call

I think I'm reraising this to 6k. Trying to establish a range for MP2 and think AJ/AQ/77/88/99 is reasonable.

Actually, given that range, if you come up with that same read and are confident in...

Re: ThePokerDB...accuracy?

Then send in those T#'s I guess.

I have a good 350 MTTs over the last couple of months and haven't found any missing as far as I know - and if there are, they're definitely 10th place finishes...

Re: Battle of the Blinds Fun... can I call here?

Really the only hand that beats you that is likely is the turned flush and QJ I guess. And J9 obviously. Would he raise KJ preflop after you completed? Other than that, you're good. Lower jacks,...

Re: I\'m a donk...

Yeah, maybe if he had 2800+, but I'd have to think he's raising at this point with no intention of folding to anything less than multiple all-ins. Did you spike a K to bust his QQ?

Re: ThePokerDB...accuracy?

Within the next week or two, the database will cover every tournament dating back to the beginning of 2004. At the moment it goes back to sometime in 2004 (not sure when), but it's a fixed point for...

E-mail them to see how many you have. I've been playing on and off for about a year (with only about 4 months of serious non-stop play), and only played $10-$50 MTTs for the most part and I'm around...

I give the theory 1.5 thumbs up.

I don't know, I'm seeing some parallels to Giga' Q3o in this.

Re: Good Time for Block Bet? Should I consider check-Graczing it?

I think a push preflop is debatable. Not bad, but it's just probably not a play I would make until I was at around 4500-5k...

Doubt any worse hands call a reraise on the turn or river.

What do you have in mind?

Villain is on TT-AA.

Re: Decision to call 3 allins with 1/4 my stack with pocket 9\'s

Raise 3-4xbb preflop (that way you can get away from CO or SB big stacks if they push, but make a harder decision for others to put their chips in).

Fold to preflop reraise (smooth-call for 2/3 of...
