Re: 109, 25/50 AA preflop call
Yeah, I don't particularily like giving BB these odds, but when he's a short stack I think he's more likely to push pf or on the flop, which gives me a springboard to get all in.
If you reraise,...

109, 25/50 AA preflop call
Villain seems fairly resonable, very aggressive on flop. Not much of a read on the BB

One year ago today, I...
1. Had made around $4k playing online and was very happy about it
2. Had played 6 SNGs above the 30s, less than 200 total SNGs, and never heard of ROI as a measure of...

The protected all-in call
Here's the spot: 200/400 blinds, still 7 people left, no big stacks. You are UTG+1 with a mediocre hand that doesn't play well in a 3-4 person pot (let's say 55). You only have 400 chips left.
I...

Re: What\'s the move? 109
Not the average player, but it's not all the rare. If you had a read that these guys wouldn't reraise with nothing, then this becomes a more interesting question. You don't want a call though, so...

Re: What\'s the move? 109
Any reads on the big stacks? I assume if you call or min-raise you will fold to a reraise by one of them. If the SB is good, he will push back at you fairly often.
I just push it. You're probably...

I see this scenario 2-3 times an hour. I'd have no trouble pulling out a specific instance and posting it, but it wouldn't change much. As for the juicy details, I already said you're UTG and that...

Wow, those results are all over the place.. I wish there was a way I could see the votes in pairs.
Anyone who voted AQ care to post the logic behind that choice? I guess I should have put a couple...

If you are pushing A9o here, you are pretty much pushing any 2 since you are banking on everyone to fold very often.

Yeah you're banking on people folding, but the quality...

UTG pushing standards
Here's a scenario where I've been trying to fine tune my standards, and I have a feeling that they're different from most folks'.
You're in the 75/150 level with 900 chips (assume 1000 starting...

Re: Trying to look scary and failing miserably
Hmm, I'm folding AQs here approximately 0% of the time. I honestly didn't even think of that, so I'd better backtrack and make sure..
In SNGPT with everyone on the average range (which is probably...

Re: Trying to look scary and failing miserably
It was a pretty full table still, say 9 players. A raise of that size, from that player, in that position was about the scariest thing I could think of.. I had him on a very very tight range.

Re: Bubble - Sit-N-Go Analyzer 2nd opinion
The short answer is yes. If you look at the situation objectively and believe that it's worth $3 in the long run, then every time you make it (and all the other tiny decisions like it), you're...

Trying to look scary and failing miserably
100 sng, blinds at 50/100
I'm UTG with AQs and 750 chips. I raise to 250, hoping to look super-scary and maybe get a few mid pairs to fold instead of calling. My plan is to put all of my money in...

Re: did i play this right?
I don't usually lead the flop, but when you get min-raised and cold called twice, you have to slow way down (like you did). When the ace of spades hits the river and completes every draw in the...

Re: hands called vs uncalled
I don't think I've ever heard someone refer to that stat before, but I imagine that mine would be at least that high with 3 or 4 players. Probably more like double, but my typical opponents are less...
