Re: KQ on the river: value bet?

If villian wasn't so loose/fishy I would say this is a check behind on the river, since he would most likely fold AK or call or raise with an overpair, but in this case I think you bet/call the river...

Re: Why bet/fold so much?

I think this is a really interesting point. In fact, in a lot of the situations where posters on this forum advocate a bet/fold line on the river, I find that I often use a bet/crying call line,...

Re: KK takes heat

There's no reason to fold this hand even if BB bets on the turn. Since everyone else folded, you can see a guaranteed showdown in a big pot with a pretty good hand for a maximum of two bets.

Re: Are these river calls standard?

I fold the turn with the Q9 hand. Sure, every once in a while you will be folding the best hand here, but I think you are behind too often to call down profitably given the size of the pot.

Re: Coordinated board and lots of action...would you call this turn?

I think you have to fold this pre-flop from MP2 after only one limper, even at a good table. You just don't have the odds to play and there are 5 potential raisers behind you.

I think you have to...

Re: When can I toss this?

[ QUOTE ]
Capped by a lag, who then proceeded to fold. I left that part out.

[/ QUOTE ] Given that read, I guess the turn bet is okay.

Even after UTG raises, I have trouble folding a...

I wouldn't lead on the turn after the flop is capped.

Re: KQo, overcards the whole way

I would fold the flop here, but if you call the flop, you definitely have to fold the turn when you don't improve. If villian 3-bets PF with at typical range of hands, we are probably drawing either...

Re: Couple of turn heads up - stop and gos

I like them both. I like the first one (67s hand) better than the AK hand. You could have very easily induced a bluff by checking the flop heads up and CO could be betting with a couple of...

Re: how do u play QQ?

[ QUOTE ]
If the SB is a decent player I wouldn't raise the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't raise the turn either. After the flop 3-bet, I start worrying about a bigger pair.

Re: Blindstealing...

I may play too tentatively in these situations, but I usually don't try to steal blinds with low suited connectors unless I the blinds are extraordinarily tight. These hands play so poorly heads up...

I raise PF thinking I most likely have the best hand. I reraised because I thought it would give me control of the hand (which makes no sense if I'm going to check the flop). Even if I...

Re: Pocket 99s

The pot is too big to fold for one bet on the flop, even on this scary board. I think calling the flop and hoping for a safe turn card is best (although, I admit there are not many safe cards).

Raising the flop sucks here. You aren't going to raise the flop with AK unless the dude is a total maniac, so don't raise the flop with any hand. If he is bluffing, let him do his thing....
