Re: Thick Skin 101 - Review of old Party name appreciated

KDawg,

I appreciate the comments. I've basically been playing a fit or fold strat. when it comes to defending blinds. There are times where I figure I can fold someone out w/ air but I don't...

Re: Thick Skin 101 - Review of old Party name appreciated

Happy,

Thanks for taking the time.

Over-all I'm 22.07/15.65. WTSD is 34 over 85k.

I wouldn't call that hand standard. Really depends on villain. Don't know his stats or have his notes...

Re: Thick Skin 101 - Review of old Party name appreciated

How many hands is that from? This month alone (~26k) I'm 19 UTG and 14.5 from MP.

Sample of 85.6k shows 20 UTG and 15 MP. Is this normal from MP? PFR numbers per position are 19 and 14.

I...

Re: Turn raise size...

I don't know if it's a "proper" size or not. I'd probably just bet 3/4 - 4/4 of the pot and give him the opportunity to make a bad call if he's drawing. These bets just so happen to be 3x and 4x...

Re: Now what?

I think the flop is fine given your reads on everyone. The turn I could go either way. Really depends on their tendencies (see lots of rivers? go to showdown a lot w/ Ax Kx Qx). The reason why I...

Re: KTs

If he's a typical fish he's definitely not c/r'ing a J here and probably not anything for that matter.

Folding is probably ok here but I don't really know w/o knowing villain. Board texture...

Re: KT vs a LAG

I support jba in this analysis.

Winky can you think of good reasons why you'd want to raise here (jba eliminated one).

Re: Thick Skin 101 - Review of old Party name appreciated

W/o a read on villain it's tough to say what I was thinking. Raising the turn looks to be about right.

The other two hands are problems. I noticed myself doing the same thing last night w/ the...

Re: unusual hand

w/o reads I check the turn. I'm not calling the river bet. He's not bluffing here.

I would call and raise most turns

You're getting in more $ this way because he's at least calling the c/r.

Scotch Drinkers

Ice/no ice? Water (obviously not tap)/no water? Why or why not.

Also, what is the least amount of money you'd be willing to pay (i.e., in your experience, has price been indicative of quality...

If he reads this, he seriously needs to stfu when it comes to the fish it's a fine line between riling them up and pissing them off and/or educating them (i.e. pointing out that they are on a heater...

Thick Skin 101 - Review of old Party name appreciated

I agree that they should do what you describe in your post. Last month's offer had at least the element of those ideas in that they set a base goal of xxxx points for x amount of money, but if you...

Re: Folding KK on the turn

Thanks for the input. I'm paranoid that I'm taking big hands like KK and AA to showdown too often in the face of aggression.

I called the flop intending to raise the turn (which I did). I agree...

Re: Questionable call-down

OOP is just a tough spot to be in here. What do you think about just plain calling down from villain's flop raise? The only thing I don't like (as you pointed out) is that it potentially gives a...

Re: how wrong am i here?

I think my biggest problem is having the discipline to fold. Some spots are more obvious than others. Certain players are easier to do this against than others.

I have been using that same...

Yeah I usually call these too but am trying to discipline myself to fold to them more. Just making sure that doing so is the correct decision.

Re: Folding KK on the turn

I'm not at all concerned with SB, it was UTG that I didn't like.
