Re: 400NL: AQo on SB, call the river?

I guess I just don't see why you would want to call here when you could raise large and take down this nice chunk preflop.

You have so many things going for you here. (or atleast i think so, hear...

[ QUOTE ]
I would not reraise A/Q out of position here, you are setting yourself up for a big pot out of position with a marginal holding.

I think u need to block this river...

I fold this in a heartbeat. Even if Villain is very tight and very aggressive, I don't expect him to 3-bet qq.

I think your probably beat here. I would pop it up more pf...

Re: 400NL: AQo on SB, call the river?

Reraise this large pf, pick up all that cash on the table.

Then the hand is over.

Re: 400NL T8o blind defence

The river is the real dead spot in this line. Its pretty obvious at this point that the villain didnt just call your flop c/r to try and re-steal on your ass.

It looks like the villain checked...

Re: slowplay 200NL

Raise this flop. Waiting til the turn to raise not only makes your hand look like an urban monster, but it also could very well screw you by bringing a scare card that makes your opponent [censored]...

Re: TPGK vs Wierd Action. 5/10

Pretty hard to say anything about this hand. No read at all, no background info at all.

That preflop call was absolutely disgusting though.

Re: $400 - QQ hand

I think your severely underestimating your opponents hand range here. I think you should only be calling the pf raise with the intention of playing for a set.

Re: AK Help

I think you can release on the turn after you are raised. I would bet more on the turn though, you bet 25 into 54, when you get raised there, your left guessing sometimes whether or not your opponent...

Re: Just started at Pokerstars - seems to be much better for me

I noticed the same thing. I was playing about 17/10 there though (nl $1 6max at stars).

It seemed like nearly everyone I played against was a shortstack also.

Your pf raise % seems tiny to me....

Re: A KK hand, I might be rusty (6 max)

With the villains hand range, you either need to get it in on the flop or fold when he raised you.

Calling and pushing the turn is horrid. If you call then push the turn, the villain still calls...

Re: $100 NL 6max QQ versus LAG w/ 200+BB stacks

Villain may have LAG numbers pf, but have you seen him reraise like this pf ever?

I think that was the most important information in this hand.

Poker stars hand historys

Are they automatically stored on your hard drive? If not, how do you get them?

I checked the directory and didn't see a hand history folder. I was thinking it may appear once you start to play...

Right, thats why I said that I don't see how party could monopolize.

So, I guess I should have questioned...... the impact the blackjack thing will have on us.

I don't really see why there is...

Party had to do it. But the real question is will they increase rake.

Party was getting hosed by all the high volume players who play on the skins exclusively (due to the large rakeback % offered). This was party's perfect way to combat the other skins and increase...

Re: Aks, multiway, blah blah

ya, I think the bigger flop bet, which would set me up better on the turn to push would have been better.

Thanks to everyone for the discussion.

Re: Aks, multiway, blah blah

Yep, 60 on the flop makes the turn 180 with me pushing 240 into it. Now its not so awkward.

Re: Aks, multiway, blah blah

FWIW, if you are even thinking about pushing the river after you brick, Then I think my C/R or a turn push is much better.

This is why I don't like giving the villain a chance to smooth call, you...
