Re: Posting in the CO with trash

If he's extremely loose then it depends on how his postflop game is. If he's loose and defends tenaciously you should tighten up somewhat. If he lets go easily on the flop, or turn (he auto-peels on...

Re: Posting in the CO with trash

Unless the blinds are ultra loose and will defend with any trash you should be raising with any 2 here.

See HEPFAP page 48, second paragraph. You may want to drop the absolute worst hands since...

Re: How about a summary of Post-Flop lines?

Not always - it can be a very strong semi-bluff play, but it depends on the board and the opp and how he views you. As a standard line I agree though.

Re: How about a summary of Post-Flop lines?

I'd raise/call the river here if opp is still betting.

gainst some opps I might consider raise/fold, but it's hard to be that sure, many people would 3 bet here with AJ/AT. In order to consider a...

Re: River call... (4-flush board)

What are MP's stats? I may well be 3 betting preflop here.

I would cap this flop. As the hand played out I think a river call is fine. If I hadn't capped the flop I probably would have raised the...

Re: Some more blind play

Check/Call the flop.

C/R the turn. Put yourself in his shoes, what does this look like?

Is this a standard line? No. Is it a viable line? Yes. It's also good for metagame purposes even if he...

Re: HU out of position againt a good player...

I'd just call here. He could have a weaker K. He could also have A7, QT, KJ. If he thinks your trying to steal the pot (possible the way you played this hand) he could be raising with a wider range...

Re: KK hu, with no A on board

Just a note that I'm not saying any of the following is necessarily a correct way to play, but they are some possibilities, some more fanciful than others, given lack of any read.

In a HU...

Re: KK hu, with no A on board

I agree with just calling here. Most likely hands are either QJ or AQ. If you knew you could narrow it to just those 2 I'd say 3 bet, but some other hands are possible as well, especially given lack...

Re: flop play

I like a 3 bet here. If nobody at the table is any good you'll probably get a free card on the turn, and there's lots of cards that you'll want to see the river with. Even if they have something like...

Re: Turn Squeeze Play

Personally I think it depends on how BB plays from there. If he defends properly I don't like raising an A with small values of x, since he'll at least call with a wide range of hands, and may well...

Re: stupid moniter question

It should be fine. According to the HP manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00246219.pdf) on page 25 it says
14.1-inch XGA (1024 × 768), or 15.0-inch XGA (1024 × 768) or SXGA+

Re: Capped on all streets

By the time we got to the river:

KJ (probably suited), although if you include offsuit it only adds 1 combination. AJ, JJ.

KJ, especially suited (1 combination) was a possibility since I wasn't...

Would you have slowed down at any point, or would you have played it the same? Serious question.

I lost the hand. I think I played it right but just want to make sure. (I don't like losing pots...

Re: It\'s a Royal Draw

Raise the river - if they fold they may have folded anyways. But if they call that's better for you. Take the sure thing over the maybe.

Lead the turn - whay would you want to try to c/r the turn?...

Re: Still learning preflop plays....

Just a note that when I posted this reply I completely forgot about the blind structure at 3/6. That makes this an easy fold out of the SB.

Re: Still learning preflop plays....

If this was unsuited you'd have any easy fold. But because it's suited it makes things a bit more difficult.

Opp here is quite loose, but his aggression isn't that high. His pfr numbers are only...
