Re: 30/60 PS, Ugly Hand

I like the check/call. When you factor in the times that you get raised by trip 4's or a boat, is it worth it? Is that a valid question to ask?

I would've led out on the flop 4 handed but you...

Re: AJs in the BB to small blind push on bubble..

I wouldn't call on no read or just a weak read with AJ in this spot. On the bubble here, he'll do it again when you have something better like AK or even AQ where you can have a better chance at...

Re: Tough Spot

A.) What do you mean by "good table image?" I want people to think I'm a fish, but I know a lot of others who want to be thought of as tight-aggressive sharks.

B.) I think you need to move in...

Re: 100 Best Real Metal CDs

You're a retard. You have 3 Slayer albums up there. "Reign in Blood" is awesome, but Diablous? That is by far the worst Slayer album. "Hell Awaits" is their best and the only one that comes close is...

Re: Did i actually miss a river value bet(s)?

I play it the same way. A lot of times, you're gonna get raised or get no calls and when you get called, you're gonna get called by a JJ and the J high straights while the Q high straights raise.

Re: It\'s not his job to get rid of people

I agree with you, Eazy, but there are too many posts that should've been deleted, a lot of threads asking to ban people that should've been deleted, and a lot of responses.

Vince is annoying, but...

You for example haven't stated one idea with statisical backup that I can recall. Every idea I have put forth I can back up with statistical evidence. Can you?

Re: Kerry Wood

Don't get me wrong. Kerry Wood is still a horrible early round fantasy pick because of his elbow. That on top of when he pitches well 3 out of 4 starts, he's only gonna get the W 4 out of 10 times....

Re: Kerry Wood

Two words, brother. Randy Johnson.

All a hitter can do is get on base and produce runs.

All a pitcher can do is keep hitters off base and prevent runs from being scored.

Teams win games and...

Re: hotel recommendations for WSOP?

Gold Coast is a pedway from Rio, very economical, and very servicable. It's the best place to stay there for your buck that's convenient and well accomodating.

Re: Matt Sklansky is not doing his job

First off, Matt doesn't moderate this sub-forum and does a great job where he does.

Second, 2+2 just needs more mods for the amount of active threads per day. I moderate a poker forum with a...

Re: Thoughts on open limping in early position

Personally, unless the game is shorthanded, I never limp as the first person to act in the front 3 unless we're talking about a loose-passive table where I know that I will get good odds to see flops...

Re: What game has the greatest skill/luck ratio?

I'd have to say for long term success:

1.) PLHE
2.) NL 2/7 3 Draw
3.) NLHE
4.) PLO
5.) PLO8
6.) 7S
7.) 7S8
8.) LHE

You have to lose 95% of the time in this spot for a call to be -EV. I think I like calling. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Huge draw. Huge hand. Check it?

Argument #1
Check. Betting could induce a check-raise that knocks a player out and you're win more on the river when you hit, especially with a board pair, if you check rather than you betting out...

Re: live vs online

My biggest live v. online observation is a result of no microlimit games offered in casinos. Most local casinos offer 3/6 at the lowest and some don't offer lower than 5/10. So what you have are...

Re: What to do when the river counterfeits your kicker?

I really depends on what card is counterfeited. If I have AJ and see a J-9-4 flop, a 3 on the turn and a 9 on the river and Villian has been calling me down, I'd probably check/call because my...

I'm ignoring SmoothCall, so I can't see his post and this thread already has a higher content rating than his "lists" threads.

Re: TOP 5 MIDDLE TO HIGH STAKES LIMIT HOLDEM PLAYERS

1.) Only a troll would start a thread like this.

2.) He has no base. Poker is not a sport. You can't rate people like this.

3.) Smoothcall= 2+2 troll.
