Re: Party IPO - The Smartest Poker Players in History?

[ QUOTE ]
Anyone understand why a very high cash flow business like PartyPoker would IPO? It seems like a lack of sophistication on their part. Why endure the hassles of regulation when your current...

Re: got the details on Party\'s WSOP Package (they are a bunch of crook

[ QUOTE ]
I did read the thread.
I did just go to the MGM site and their rate calendar for "basic rates" are "starting at":

July 6th - $560
July 7th - $130
July 8th - $650 (Friday)
July 9th -...

Re: got the details on Party\'s WSOP Package (they are a bunch of crook

[ QUOTE ]
I can't believe you'd even get sidetracked by such semantics as whether or not the MGM is "luxury." Of course they're not giving you the Real World suite at the Palms, and of course they...

That is correct (but not neccessary for my points to be valid).

[ QUOTE ]
No. Take a 10 person SnG for $100+$5. One prize. Stated ahead of time. For all to see. 5 day stay at the MGM.

After you win, you complain because the prize "is not worth $1000", because...

Last year, you were allowed to keep the cash if you made you own hotel accomidations. Not sure about this year.

got the details on Party\'s WSOP Package (they are a bunch of crooks)

I won the PartyPoker WSOP package a few weeks ago, by winning Step 6.

On their webpage, it advertises the package as including the $10k buy-in, 10 nights "luxury hotel" (for which they deducted...

which hotel and which nights they provide?

when we will find out which day we start on?

If anybody has this information, I'd love to hear it. As usual, Party's support is pretty useless.

Because I was closing the action for $10 and figured in the unlikely event a 4 came, I could win a big pot from the villain. (unfortunately, I did not foresee the action on the turn proceeding as it...

Fold bottom set on the turn?
