Re: (55) 2nd pair + gutshot bubble

i pushed, figuring i'd have 9 outs if i got called. in retrospect and after reading the posts, i think check/fold would have been better. getting a-i with a 9-outer sucks.

as it turned out,...

Re: combo-draw early

i would bet more on the river if my hand wasn't so obviously a flush draw. that's one thing i don't like about my line - that i can't get paid off on a big bet on the end.

i don't really like a...

Re: Three hands vs. same player, Super Monday

[ QUOTE ]
The turn action in the last two hands isn't that interesting (I filled up in one, BB overcalled in the other) so I'm more curious in what happens before that.

I also strongly disagree...

Re: $55: Overpair on paired board facing an All-in

my only concern is that the pfr has QQ+, but you're way ahead of the pusher like 95%+. villain never does that with a 3 and very rarely with QQ+, and he usually reraises QQ+ preflop anyway. i think...

Re: 99 in BB on the bubble - fold or push?

i'd push. this is a pretty good chance to isolate and get ai as a big favorite against utg's range with a nice pot odds overlay. if SB calls, you're still cashing (it pays 8:6:4:2, or at least...

Re: and in this corner.....weighing 265 pounds..Folding Equity!!!!!

the fact that the later guys will call a raise with Ax and that SB may fold a bad Ax makes raising more appealing. you have a chance to steal the pot outright, and you're less likely to lose the...

[ QUOTE ]
If we just call the 100, there's a good chance the other two will call as well, then on any non-club turn SB will push his 520 into the 520 pot. That is generally a disaster for us with...

Re: Three hands vs. same player, Super Monday

hand 1: i'd bet turn 100% of the time. most hands that calling the flop are calling the turn, and i want to build the pot. if he does have something like JJ/TT/QJ/QT, i don't want to give the...

Re: $55: Donking chips away on all streets with ATs

fold pre-flop. raising the flop is fine but i'd make it more like 115. then you have to shut down when someone calls. hope for a free/cheap showdown.

Re: $50, Big Sem-Bluff Early

i agree with others that you should fold pre-flop, but open-raising is not terrible. i'd make it 50 or 60 though - 70 is kinda big.

on the flop, the c/r a-i runs into the problem that you're...

Re: More Math Shortcuts (Inducing a bluff)

i like it. here's an example:

villain has 2k left, pot is 3k, villain has 4 outs.

pot is 1.5 as big as stack. add 1 to 2.5. 4 outs = 8%, so the answer is 20%. seems reasonable.

my only...
