Re: ($22): Attempting to own the bubble, worth it at 22s?

If I am button here I am calling with a huge range. I have zero FE anyway so will need to win a showdown. Why not use bigstacks FE and try to triple up.

Re: Middle pair flops the nuts

[ QUOTE ]

I would lead that flop just about 100% of the time against one player but against two I assumed that someone would bet it and I could checkraise.

Actually against only...

Re: Middle pair flops the nuts

[ QUOTE ]

1) I'd fold preflop. You're seriously only going to play this the 12% of the time that you flop a set...you can't play 77 for overpair value against a raise, EVEN when your sevens ARE...

Re: ($55) A little lost on this QK

Like everyone else said: Fold preflop.
Fold the flop also.

If I'd misclicked and called preflop, I'd also check-raise against MP2, but button's minraise (or call) makes me to say "I'll get me...

Re: (55) QQ line

[ QUOTE ]
I think his range must be wider than AA/KK. It looks far more like AK to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. Post flop looks more like AK than AA/KK.

I'd call this flop, but I wouldn't be...

Re: 55$: Unsure what to do with this strong draw

I agree with tigerite.

Your draw isn't as strong as you think.

Q of hearts is your only guaranteed money card, because there's very good chance that at least one A is out there.

Any seven...

Re: $33, passing up an edge by folding AK

[ QUOTE ]
why exactly is calling wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think calling is wrong but the raise compared to the stack sizes makes this a close decision.

In a 1000 chip game I'd just call...

Re: $33 - Two level 1 QQ hands

[ QUOTE ]
I think you played both fine. I would expect to see CO with AA/KK very often in hand 2.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hand 2: I fail to understand what's fine in calling the reraise.

With 550 chips...

Re: $55, JJ early, gets reraised from the blind

[ QUOTE ]
To those who said you would fold PF, why? 160 to win 1400 is way more than I need.

[/ QUOTE ]

160 to win 1400 is barely enough if you stack him every time you hit a set or better,...

Re: HH - excessive tightness versus bubble push?

[ QUOTE ]

The thing is...i cant see how he could be so loose, given the situation. See, he *knows* he will be called, as the BB is so short. With zero FE, you would think he would hold tight...

Re: HH - excessive tightness versus bubble push?

[ QUOTE ]
I push this because can't the bb fold to the big stack next by your reasoning? Though I do like playing semi tight here.

Re: $55: Overpair in level 1

I like the preflop limp-call.

I don't want to open raise as I'd hate being reraised and closing the action by folding for 60 more isn't an option for me with these stacks.

Re: $22 - QQ, two suited, paired board + A

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah I agree I would bet out on the flop, 125 or so. Quite often you will take down the pot right there after raising pre flop, if I get called I am done with it.

Re: $22 - Some postflop play with jacks

I think you're behind and wouldn't be surprised to see QQ.

The weak flop bet could mean anything, but after he made another bet that want's to be called I'm pretty sure he has at least TP, but a...

Re: Party $11: TT becomes overpair in a family pot

There's 430 in the pot. No need to get fancy, just push.

He'll call with TP and sometimes with two overs. Sometimes he has you beat with JJ+ or a set, but pushing should be profitable play.

Re: time for a bubble bully play?

I'd fold.

They just can't let go their PP or A high when they've bet half of their stacks.

Re: AA level one play along with me

Obviously I can't toss away an overpair, but with 2 palyers yet to act, pushing is going to be near suicidal if one of the remaining players has a set.

Both calls are fine, but on the 2nd hand you should've pushed yourself.

Re: $22 full HH #3

[ QUOTE ]

For the AJo hand, I can't find any way to make it a fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

I found that with those stack sizes and using range 22+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+ for all, it's +0.6% and a push.

Re: ($22) Need help with 2 level 1 hands I think I misplayed postflop

Pete, I agree with your idea that a preflop minraise means he will often have JJ+ here. However, it doesn't make sense for someone holding at least 1 ace to call my checkraise on the turn,...
