Re: Would you drop bottom set?

"Why do you wanna fold here so bad?"

I didn't.

"So SB raises preflop with a big pair. BB calls with JhTh/AhKh /6h7h. SB leads, BB pushes naturally, we instacall.

There is 6 possible ways to...

Re: Would you drop bottom set?

"i think the problem here is its such a close decision"

I think so also, and given the 10 secs or so to think didn't help (the down-side of multi-tabling).

"it ISNT an overpair bb is pushing...

Re: Would you drop bottom set?

"who is the LAG?"

SB - not the guy who went all-in. Sorry, I wasn't clear in my original post.

"SB bet pot (~$430). SB went all-in."

Oops, I meant BB went all-in.

London, NL & PL Games

Can anyone tell me which clubs in London offer either no-limit or pot-limit games? The bigger the game, the better. Also, any details of the games/clubs are appreciated (e.g., which nights offer...

Would you drop bottom set?

NL 10-20.

Me: 2k
SB: 2.5k, LAG, knows how to play and is extremely aggressive -- too aggressive for optimal $$$ though.
BB: 2k, seeming TAG. I had seen him show one hand so far, and the hand...

Re: Difference between stakes at Party

With limited experience, I think that on a scale from 1 (easy, 2-4) to 10 (hard, 5-10), 3-6 would fall at 3.5. I would also consider the difference between 1 and 10 to be very wide, such that if...

Banning on 2+2

Why are you advocating banning and moderating? Personally, I think those are ridiculous concepts on this public forum -- something which chased away many of the best contributors who used to...

Re: affordable SF area dining

R&G Lounge on the Financial District/Chinatown border. It's a Chinese restaurant (the name is misleading, I know) whose specialty is salt & pepper crab.

Re: Looking for an incredible meal in/near San Fran (French Laundry, etc.)

Of this class of restaurant, I like Hawthorne Lane. It's a bit pretentious, but the food's great. I think Aqua is overrated and overpriced but still good. I'd totally stay away from Boulevard.

Re: KK correct?

> nothing else i can do right?

A few observations:

- Your preflop reraise was really big.

- I think post-flop play is entirely player dependent. Against any decent player, you're beaten.

Sanity Check

Villain in this hand is a total LAG -- will play lots of hands against deep stacks preflop. He seems to know how to play postflop, but he's definitely not a long-term winning player.

***** Hand...

Re: Last 3 Tables...

You mean the rest of the table? I was probably about the average stack size at the time, starting at T3k, before the hand started.
