Re: AK UTG (super Tuesday)

I really appreciate all the feedback. I did call the all in and lost to pocket 10s finishing 110th place. I agree with many of the comments about playing too tight and passive. I would rather push...

Re: AK UTG (super Tuesday)

Is my math correct for facing AA/KK when making a bet from UTG.

Odds of AA 1/220/hand
Odds of KK 1/220/hand

9 players

1/220 X 9 X 2 = 8 %

Re: AK UTG (super Tuesday)

I agree that AA/KK is unlikely here but it is still about a 10% chance (1/220 X 10 X 2). I think only a really weak player would raise with AQs/AQ/AJs against a healthy EP raise. So it is about an...

Re: KK in BB

I probably should have called the turn and planned on calling the river with the AK. I am learning that TPTK can get you in a lot of trouble. Your memory of the hand history is impressive.

Re: KK in BB

I didn't actually see your hand but I figured you were on a draw. I had to go by memory, for the hand history. I sort of tilted and left the game quickly. But I knew you were on the draw. The 10...

Re: AKs - 600 NL PP

pushing on the flop seems like something I would do in a MTT or SNG. I think this would also work better against a smaller stack. It is 11-10 favorite if I am playing a pocket pair QQs or less and...

Re: AKs - 600 NL PP

Was it a mistake to consider the two overcards as outs. I figured I had 15 outs which made calling correct as long as he didnt have a set or AA/KK.

I should have bet 3/4s to a pot size bet on...

Re: Poker Prophecy

It's not that accurate, but it is useful to screen for fish. I use it and have made smart calls against idiots with win rates of less than 30%. Since it only gets some of the data it is probably...

Re: I AM P*SSED! *rant

Funny post.

But this situation comes up all the time. I think you have be careful at this stage of a tourney. You don't want to be gambling with any of the large stacks. I think you could have...

Re: Crazy hand? What\'s your play?

I like raising with AQs in MP. Especially with 2-3 limpers in front. 5-6 handed is very difficult to play and very easy to lose. If the flop comes A X X rainbow. I don't feel as strong with a Q...

Re: Does Anyone here only play tourny\'s?

Interesting post. I am new to MTTs, but I don't think there is any greater feeling than doing well in these types of tourneys. I play SNGs mostly at the 30-50 level and have a decent ROE at this...

Re: Poker Prophecy Software

it seems to me that it would be useful in cetain situations. Weak players for the most part play loose either passive or aggressive. Wouldn't it be helpful to know how well someone has been playing...

Re: Poker Prophecy Software

I tried the search feature first but put a space between poker and porphecy and got no posts. I tried it the other way and got a lot of reading to do. Thanks /images/graemlins/cool.gif
