I wasn't really asking for advice. But yours is terrific.

Re: Not your traditional \"how to play AA\" post

PRE_FLOP: Call looks OK to me. He raised enough to keep the field thin, and based on your read (and your hand), I put him on a range of KK-99, AK, AQ.

FLOP: I don't have a big problem with...

77 UTG

These are the ones that drive me crazy.

Average tourney stack size ~2500. 110 players left, top 20 win seat in big tourney. Just got dumped onto this table.

Thoughts?

QQ in SB, early

Early in tourney. No real reads to mention.
All-in pre-flop with all those callers, or see flop first?
How about SIZE of check-raise post-flop?

Re: sailboats in MP

My guess is he has a deuce, Ace, or is slowplaying a 6. You say he's horrible, which makes this more difficult to surmise.

Could his river bet be a bluff? I don't see why he wouldn't try to...

$1/$2 rockfest? (low content)

I usually play $2/$4 or $3/$6 LHE, occasionally stepping up to $5/$10. Played >20K hands at each level, profitably. I say this not to boast but to preface.

Withdrew some funds to pay debts, so...

Re: Bye bye Empire...

What's the common reason why players are booted from Empire? I've heard a lot of that lately.

\"Guaranteed\" tourneys-----newbie questions

I see buy-in for a "$2000 guaranteed" multi-table tourney on Empire is $10 + $1.

There are only 50 people registered 30 min prior to its start.

So the prize pool is $2000 "guaranteed", even...

Re: KK in MP - turn check?

Based on his flop call, looks to me like UTG is more likely to have flushed than SB. SB's flop play makes me think he's put you on AK/AQ, has a T or a mid-high pp, and is 3-betting to get rid of...

Re: 88 on the Button

[ QUOTE ]
Honestly, when the SB calls 3 preflop in these games it doesn't mean he has any kind of a hand. It means he's an idiot.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. It doesn't mean he doesn't have you...

Re: 88 on the Button

Read my earlier post. With what hand do you think villain is calling a 3-bet pre-flop and seeing the turn and river? Heart draw folds river, so hero bet mostly likely earns nothing. I don’t think...

Re: 88 on the Button

Betting and being check-raised, you're saying don't call and possibly folding the best hand. Betting and him folding means you didn't earn another bet. Checking through means you pay nothing more...

Re: AKs hand

Actually, on second thought, 33 and 88 seem less likely, especially with the turn raise on the A, but there's still a lot of hands left.

Re: AKs hand

Well, that of course is the perfect question. A read would obviously help, but here goes.

He 3-bet pre-flop to isolate, and then raised the turn A and the river. With those plays in a...

Re: AKs hand

Sorry dude. 4-5-6-7 on board with 2 other players that called 3 bets on turn? I check call that river. The rest looks fine.

Re: 88 on the Button

I like it all until the river. I would just check, as I don't think it's a good spot to value bet. SB called a 3-bet pre-flop and stayed in all the way. If you have SB beat, there's a good chance...

Re: River call or fold?

I call here. You probably lose, but obviously your win pct. can be low here and still be a profitable play.

Re: Problem with AQo

[ QUOTE ]
Post flop play is key with this hand. If you hit the ace and run into aggression, you could be against AK when you call down, but so be it if that's the case. That's poker. But in all...

Re: A10o keeps confusing me

With 4 limpers in front of you, I'm OK with the PF call. Raising isn't going to cut the field down to less than 4 + you, IMO.

I raise preflop here to ensure heads-up. If he calls and still leads...

Re: Checking the turn II

[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather bet the turn, fold to a check/raise than check and call this river.
