Re: Down to 13 in Bodog 17.5k - your move from the BB with 99?

I have a strange phobia of mini-raisers from EP they always seem to have monsters, so I would lean towards calling and evaluating the flop. I think I re-raise here if I'm well above tourney average,...

Re: PokerRoom 10+1. Smart Play or Donkey Play

I think perhaps more information would be helpful. I was under the impression that this was in the middle to late stages of an MTT, is this right?

Re: PokerRoom 10+1. Smart Play or Donkey Play

To me it seems like a smart play. Firstly, let's assume that at least 60% of the time the SB is going to raise all in, which seems reasonable enough, to account for the times where he has absolutely...

Re: Thoughts

I like to play a wide variety of hands early, in hopes of getting a big stack, or at least amassing a decent amount of chips. I especially like hands like these as they have straight and flush...

Thoughts on the hand? No real reads, still relatively early.

Re: Non Believers Predominate Heaven? Just Maybe.

Does not the evidence point to social issues such as peer pressure, the desire to be accepted, the desire to be repected, etc being a much stronger influence than any 'outside' threat of punishment?...

Re: Non Believers Predominate Heaven? Just Maybe.

My thoughts on the subject are that all human beings are all equally capable of commiting "evil" acts. Whether one actually does or does not commit said acts, is irrelevant, as I believe laws and...

Here's a hand from pokerstars 3 or 5 dollar rebuy, can't remember. First hand back from the second break, been at the table for a while, and been extremely tight.

Re: What to do here

He has a big stack and decent position, so I'd lean towards coming over the top, although that's very risky with no reads.

Re: OESD, overcard and medium pair/top kicker

I think you have to take the free card. He can't be drawing to a flush, so either he's drawing to a straight, which he could have hit, or is holding on to a jack or queen. I think he calls you're bet...

Re: Possible resteal; what to do?

Fold. You're barely ahead of a lot of hands, and behind a lot.

Re: big draw after min reraise

Push, you want to give him every opportunity to fold.
I don't like the checkraise line because it puts more of his chips in the pot potentially pot-committing him to the hand. Plus you get the added...

SB is very loose pf, calling raises with a large range of hands.

Thoughts?

Re: PS 10+1 M=7, Right setup to steal with an all-in raise?

Depends on your opponents, was UTG generally tight with his raising requirements? Did he raise equally from all positions?
What about MP3, you said he was loose and liked to see flops, but did he...

Re: party 750k hand

Hmm, I was leaning towards mucking the hand. If the CO has top pair with a club you go from being a slight favorite to a underdog, and I think that the times that the CO folds to your all-in raise...

Late stages of a multi-table tourney. Blinds are at 200/400 I have a chip stack of about 7000, I have been playing pretty tight, but haven't caught many cards lately so I limped in with with A-10....
