Re: Coolest: Pirates, Ninjas, or Ray Zee?

I fear that pirates are getting a raw deal here. Let me elucidate as to why pirates are much cooler than ninjas (and Ray Zee). First, let's compare piratical and ninjitsu apparel.

**Pirates**...

Or maybe she's trying to decide what to do.

Re: WSOP Day 5: \"Official\" News, Results, and Discussion

Sounds to me like he was picking off a bluff.

He has to win, then win again next year after his raising hand's been amputated.

Re: Is Fillmouth, Helmuth or Phillips?

Read your own post. It's like a conspiracy theory. Have you ever heard of Occam's razor?

Re: Is Fillmouth, Helmuth or Phillips?

Either you're truly as Paul Phillips says "the dumbest man on Earth" or, what's more likely, this thread is your thinly veiled attempt at taking a potshot at Paul Phillips by saying he "plays lucky."...

Re: a test (don\'t bother reading this one)

I really don't think anyone's stack is deep enough here to give sufficient implied odds.

Re: Poker vs Tournament Poker and the FTOP

Earth-shattering stuff here. Tournament play differs from live play because the blinds increase--who'd a thunk it. I think my head might explode.

The Grinder\'s TLB pic

Please tell me his weekly TLB pic on Stars is some kind of joke. Does Stars tell them to send in a pic of themselves trying to look hard?

AK help

In a $3 rebuy to the sunday $200+15 on stars, I picked up AKo in the SB with blinds at 100/200 and my stack at ~22000. We are far enough from the seats for it not to be a huge strategical...

Re: Is the Crew break up a ploy?

I'm not sure the "crew" ever had much of an agenda other than to "take over the poker world"--whatever the Hell that means. For that reason, if this is a ploy, I don't know what they hope to...

Re: What does the Avg. Stack Size tell you?

It is more important to pay attention to your stack size in relation to the blinds. This will let you know if you are short whereas "average stack size" will only prompt a player to get overzealous...

I don't think it says anywhere that this forum has anything to do with strategy. This question might better fall under the "news, views, gossip" forum, but this forum has, as far as I know, never...

Re: After the rebuy period

Hi again Ja,

Lot of hands here. I guess I should've taken notes. What I like is your aggression preflop and its maintenance on the flop. I think you should've check-folded the 88 on a flop of...

Re: 10+1 R whole hand history

Hi Ja,

You played well. One thing I noticed is that you seem to be basing the amount of your preflop raise on the strength of your hand. You raised more with aces and queens that with AJo and...

Re: Bet size in MTT

If memory serves me correctly, I think TJ advocated the pot-size bet all of the time in pot-limit, not no-limit.

Re: How did I play my JJ?

*bending over to receive spanking*

Very masochistic of you. I think you played it fine except you should've raised more preflop. My standard open with these blinds is 150. The min-raise on the...
