Hey all,

Drac, my reports from my recent WSOP trip are posted here: www.pokerforum.ca/forum/viewforum.php?f=1 (http://www.pokerforum.ca/forum/viewforum.php?f=1)
There are 6 of them, one for each...

Re: WSOP satellites for the 2K event

Yes, they're capping all but the Main Event at 1000 players. For the Main Event, it's 2000 I believe. I think it's unlikely that all 1000 seats will be sold, given the past number of entrants.... ...

Re: WSOP satellites for the 2K event

italianstang:

You sound like you're either there in Vegas, or you know enough about the early WSOP events to maybe help me out with this question:

I'm flying to Vegas tomorrow (Thursday). I'll...

Re: Limit Tourney Advice

Lol you're welcome for the info. Hope that helped in some way--I find trip reports to be generally very informative. Mine, maybe not so much... /images/graemlins/wink.gif

As for the Canadian...

Re: Limit Tourney Advice

Hey Drac,

I cut and pasted the following from pokerforum.ca. It details some key moments of a limit tournament in Regina I flew out to play in a month or so ago. I cut out the parts of the post...

Re: Double Up or Steal? Short Stack play

I forgot...

... to mention that the final day of the WPT Championship Event happens on April 23rd at the Bellagio.

Might be worth a look!

Re: WSOP 2004

Hey Gene,

I, too, will be heading out to play in the early couple of events at WSOP. I'm going to buy-in to the $1500 limit and the $2000 NL tourneys, and play some sats. to the main event.

Station Poker Classic trip report.

Hey all,

I haven't posted on here in quite a while, mostly because I posted mainly in the shorthanded section and I don't play much shorthanded anymore. For those who don't know me (most of...

Re: Question for all_aces???

Greetings fellow Canadian...

Here's the story, with no embellishments or exaggerations, and it's long. I'd played a lot of poker in casinos, underground clubs, and home games, usually 10-20 but...

Interesting hand...

Against a hyper aggressive. My preflop choice is questionable, but if I hit I get paid off big by him. I'll post the results as well, because they're necessary to answer the question: who played...

Opponent had QQ and I took it down. I should have raised the river once. Oh well.

Too passive/too aggressive with one pair?

Also known as: "getting cute with aces". Did I get too aggressive on the turn? Should I have raised the river... These are the questions I have. Opponent is typical, comments appreciated.

Seat...

Is this a serious post?

If not, good one. I smiled and almost laughed.

If so, that's the worst fold in the history of folds. You have a set on a board with no flush or straight possibilities. At least check/call to a...

Re: 99 in SB, 25-50 5 max.

Thanks for the replies. The small blind played this in a unique way, let's just say. I'm a big fan of the fact that people were calling me down with ace high, even after a turn 3-bet. Guess I had...

99 in SB, 25-50 5 max.

Ridiculously aggressive game, pretty tough to get anyone to fold anything so a lot of suckouts are happening. Preflop I'd usually 3 bet this but I wanted to have a look at the flop first, and with...

Re: Party shutting down tables

In what can be nothing other than a remarkable coincidence--considering it's never ever happened to me before--I was unable to join the wait list for the 25-50 at Pokerroom tonight.

So I rebooted...

Alanis Morrissette and irony.

I once heard a comic ripping her song "Isn't it Ironic" to shreds. It was hilarious. A highlight:

"The line, 'it's like a traffic jam, when you're already late'... that not ironic. That's just...

Re: KK heads up: Routine?

KK when an ace flops. Tough situation. I'll answer your post with a hand of my own from tonight. 25/50 5 max. I'm heads-up with an aggressive opponent after we cap it preflop. The guy's...

Re: CASINO REGINA

Hey Yesterday,

Sorry about the capital letters in the subject line, but I don't want this post to get buried in what is turning into a thread of epic proportions.

Good for you for starting it...
