Re: stupid bluffs?

This looks like a good place for a bluff to me. I like check-raising here also.

Re: Is this the right call?

Fold preflop, check-fold the flop. If you were playing live, OK, maybe you can make a read, but online, it's impossible!

Middle set 9s vs. turn 3-str8 and flush draw

Please critique my play. Smart or big leak?

Re: Playing against a free roller.

Depends how big the pot is. If there were only a little left to bet after a call, I would be inclined to just push it. If it were deeper and you are sure to split, this may be a good time to post-oak...

Re: 2 pair

As was already stated, it depends on the texture of the board.
Top 2 pair Aces/Kings is a lot better for obvious reasons than top 2 pair Tens/Fives.

Re: 10/20 - Short Stacked Play AQJT

I don't play at this level, but from what I know about shortstack play (which comes entirely from reading Rolf's articles) -

I think a reraise is a bad idea here because you are now basically...

Re: Am I a moron on this hand

Looks good to me, buddy. Your primary consideration when drawing to a str8 flush vs. a board pair is, "what are my implied odds?" If you're getting 1:20, go for it.

Re: Thoughts on Line?

Correction here:

Fine on the flop.
1/4 pot on the turn, or check it with plans to 1/2 pot on the river since this is how somebody with nut boat or quads...

Reraise the max. Having a strong image will bring your game a long way.

Re: Two pair - standard?

I think your play is OK, but if you are interested in putting a little more smart aggression in your game, these are my thoughts:

Full pot it here or check call, otherwise you are just waisting...

Fold this trash preflop. Otherwise, you played it fine.

Re: Omaha in California

I've never heard of a casino/cardroom in CA spreading PLO. Somebody was trying to get a game going at Lucky Chances, Colma (near SF), but that crashed and burned.

Re: Top two pair and flush draw

I think you should repot it on the flop, or just fold. I think leading the pot here would also be a reasonable play. MP2 almost certainly has AA, Button probably QQ.

Re: AA-rag OOP vs. deep stack and short stacks

These kinds of numbers always confuse me. How is it possible that your EV is less than somebody else's in the main pot, but more in the side pot despite the dead cards? Maths guys, please explain.

Re: Raising the max with a vulnerable nut hand , 1 card to come

This depends on the read of your opponents. If you think you are tied with Villain, then you have an excellent opportunity for a post-oak bluff. Flat call and raise the river. I wouldn't try that...

Re: Slow play or not?

Giving the stacksizes would also be helpful. Assuming 100bb, I wouldn't slow play but make it like $150 to go. No need to push him out of the pot.
