Re: UB 5/10 monotone board TPTK

True. But I would really want to hear SSNL opinions as well.

UB 5/10 monotone board TPTK

Villain is good, aggressive, tricky; views me probably the same

My plan is to check flop, overbet any non club turn if checked to and raise all-in if he leads. Thoughts?

don't raise ajs in bb

check/calling turn and block river will induce worse hands to call and minimize loss i think.

If you were in villain's shoes, wouldn't you try for a check-raise on the turn if your top pair just turned into trips?

Of course not! Check raise to do what, what will...

Re: overpair, huge overbet 6max 1/2

FWIW I am not lobbying for a turn bet here. Having said that, what I am hearing so far, is basically weak-tight play which might be 100% correct but I do not see a strong case besides "might", "to be...

I don't like just thinking, hey, I'm ahead more often than I'm behind, so I'll just bet.

[ QUOTE ]
let me ask you this. if you bet the turn and villain calls then checks to you on a blank river, do you bet again?

[/ QUOTE ]
non A river. Yes and expect PP to call my value bet.

Ok . it doesn’t look like it goes anywhere.

Re: overpair, huge overbet 6max 1/2

well I am not debating river here as you said and I concur that it seldom bluff here on this board. I would love him to have QQ, JJ, TT and play them the way you described.

We do not have read on...

[ QUOTE ]
lets say you bet the turn. how much do you bet? lets say 2/3 pot. sounds reasonable. you bet 40, he calls. pot on river is 140 or so. he leads for 80, a little over 1/2 pot. you fold?...

Re: overpair, huge overbet 6max 1/2

bet turn.
You did play it as a missed AK tho, with this overbet I see full house or 79s. no read I fold

Re: Butchered Boat

well. 'cause hero does not want anything higher then 8 or h fall on river. If he has A and drawing, you have to price it. In addition you gain information. If he has 7, bigger pair he might re-raise...

Re: 2/4 and the flush hits the river

What hero is beating on that board? All draws got there.

Well you have to have your "special" event that you cherish and never forget. For me it was 1 outer to tie that I've successfully pulled it by the river. Every time some one sucks out on me – I...

Re: Difficult one with QQ. Need some help please

well you can re-raise pre flop. At this level AA KK will either re-raise you or push. I do not think villain will just call you re-raise with AA trying to trap KK. The way you played is somewhat weak...

Re: Facing River Check-Raise

Because he is not beating a pair of A here, that hero might have as well. He is pushing hero of his hand either it is busted flush draw with Ah or not

Re: Facing River Check-Raise

Weird hand indeed. I'll call.
If he made a monster on flop he wouldn't lead that small on turn. He has to price flash draws.
If he has a set and made a full house on river what hand would call...

Re: Flop semi-bluff

His small bet(IMO) means that he doesn't really like UTG who called raise and re-raise.
You will be called there by alot of hands, big pairs, Ah-x sets. So meh. I think for a short stack it is ok....

Re: Another tough spot with bottom set

I would call. UTG push looks like isolation. I think he would want(with 45) you to call. I think you are ahead of UTG here, taking stacks to consideration it is a call.IMO

Re: First hand Beauty, turn action in question

I would call. I need UTG1 to tango along.

I have a feeling that SB has a made hand, small flash? most likely and UTG1 is drawing to a bigger one.

What are the stack sizes?

Re: Donk move or decent play?

Fold pre-flop, fold turn, put him all in on river.
Why are you afraid that he has qj?

Does everybody else instantly fold the turn?

[/ QUOTE ]
Pretty much.
I would call river too, expecting to win. Hero played it as a missed (somewhat donkish) flash draw.

Re: I am a calling station

I think that your line is ok. I would fold the turn against an unknown and 3 ppl behind.
