I'm afraid I'm not sure what you all mean by, "a stop and go" though I guess I could guess.

Good advice here, as always. I feel I get a little less weak/tight everyday.

Preflop: Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG folds, MP calls, CO folds, Button folds, Hero completes, BB...

Well put, Nemesis. That was pretty much my line of thinking, but I was far less sophisticated.

Turns out the button had K9, for the rivered 2nd boat, and MP1 had, believe it or not, 88. Basically...

I'm posting this partially because it was a pretty wild hand, and partially because I wondered if I was throwing money away.

I punched myself in the face on the showdown;

UTG+2 shows Jh 7d (one pair, jacks).
MP1 shows Qs Qd (one pair, queens).
MP2 shows Ad 6c (one pair, sixes).
