JJ vs donk-bet on lousy turn

Eurobet 3/6, 5max/5 handed.

Hero is CO with J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif J/images/graemlins/spade.gif

UTG alternates weirdly between LAG and LP (43/22/1.8) and is unpredictable and hard to...

Re: free showdown raise

I'm still curious if folding pocket pairs >4 is the main reason to raise or if there is more to it.

Re: free showdown raise

I meant I'd be more likely to call down (as opposed to taking your line) if he'd bet every street with a draw.

Re: free showdown raise

Since the villain is relatively aggressive, I often just call down here, figuring I'm either way behind a king/pocket pair or I'm way ahead of a flush draw/big cards that whiffed. I'd be more likely...

Re: 66 vs bluff-raising LAG

I didn't take the c-c/c-c/b-c line because I already had the lead, he was capable of folding the flop, but he was also taking a free card quite often here if checked to, and my hand was pretty...

66 vs bluff-raising LAG

Opponent is 43/15/2 over <100 hands. More importantly, he has been making LOTS of odd turn bluff/semibluff raises and displaying other seemingly out-of-place aggression. Preceding this, I have...

Re: What the heck is wrong with me (PP $5/$10 - KK)?

It seems like he could easily have AK and play it this way. To a 50% VPIP player, I think aces & kings looks pretty much like the nuts, especially if he thinks you've been running over him.

Re: How bad is this river value raise?

Are other people playing K8o in this spot? I would toss this in the muck without a thought.

On the river, even against this guy, I would just call because I don't think I'm good >50% of time I...

Re: Small pairs against lag

Most of the time I would just raise the flop, but this guy was really flaky (giving up randomly on the flop) and I didn't want him to go away.

Re: JJ against SB open-limp, then donkbet trifecta.

with the intention of calling a 3bet, I presume?

Small pairs against lag

Villain in both cases is LAG (55/20/5), but weirdly so. He seems to fold a very long string of hands preflop then suddenly wake up and cap w/ trash hand after hand. Similarly, he'll just fold alot...

Yes, though I have never gotten it to work through the "e-message" system.

Re: Waiting til the turn to protect my hand

Once SB and BB put money in on the turn, they are probably going to call a raise for one more anyway... certainly if they have any kind of reasonable draw to a good second best hand. And if they hit...

Re: AK TPTK + gutshot, crappy board

You'd bet the turn and fold to a river bet or check behind on the turn and fold to a river bet?

In the heat of battle I was thinking I didn't want to give a free card to the flush/straight...

AK TPTK + gutshot, crappy board

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

CO is slightly LAG 27/21/2 but not unreasonable so far. SB is a moron and has...

Re: too aggressive with KK?

The only real concern is that MP has AA, right? Given his low preflop aggro he's probably got AA, AK, KK, QQ, JJ (maybe AQs/AJs?) I usually bet the turn because I'd rather not have AK-JJ check it...

Re: Flopped top two...

1.38 aggression for his VPIP means he has a little bit of aggro in him, no? The check-3bet is quite the power move though. I still don't think I can find a fold either, however.

Re: gotta love the 1-2 and .50/1.00 guys posts

One of the nice things about HUSH is that higher limit players take time to help out the lower limit guys instead of segregating them into MicroHUSH. I know I've always appreciated that, and the...

Re: QQ- Do I bet the turn???

If he were a good player (which obviously he's not) the check-raise looks more like trying to protect a made hand than a flush draw. UTG looks more like he may be drawing.

I would bet the turn....

Re: River decision...

I usually bet-call here. Preflop cold-caller could have lots of worse hands he'll pay off but might check through on the river. If he raises it might be a slowplayed flush/straight but might just...

Bet this river?

Villain here is 50/10/1 over about 100 hands. Against most people he's just calling and cold-calling happily, but I think he's starting to hate me a bit, so maybe he could be getting out of line.

Re: Cap preflop to get heads up w/ 88 here?

Yeah, I wasn't worried about getting SB's last $5. My intent was to try to get it heads up but on reflection that was just dumb.

My best move in this hand was catching an 8 on the flop...
