This is actually what I normally do if I flop top pair HU... With mid pair I usually take this route.

Why wouldn't you raise the flop? Why wait until the turn when to raise with only middle pair... If he has any queen he's going to call you down along with any over pair.

When its two back to me is this a good fold? Is this too weak tight? The flush isn't there yet and the only straight possiblity would be 6/7. Should I respect them this much?

Ok so the plan was to CR but it gets raised to me. There is two to a flush and the board is pair with my TP decent at best kicker. Easy lay down?

Your almost getting the odds to catch your two outer right there lol. You need to call and then maybe lay down on the river if its two to you... No way you lay down to one bet here.
