Re: Is it time to move up?

[ QUOTE ]
you sound like a pretty solid player. i think you should try it especially since its not even a full 2 times the limit you're playing now. if you were moving from 5/10 to 10/20 i'd say to...

Re: Help a newbie get started...

I am not sure if this is what you want to hear - but I would advise playing at party. The players are no better (and probably worse) than Paradise. You can datamine 10 tables at a time and will...

Re: River Checking(Stars 2-4)

I think you should raise preflop.

I think we agree that calling is the worst option, yes?

This bet does nothing to defend our hand. Anyone with any hint of a draw, even two overcards, is correct to call.

Re: Play Against Raise/Reraise on Turn W Drawing Board and Pocket TT

[ QUOTE ]
I would checkraise the flop seeing how you called preflop. I'd 3-bet BB's raise. He can have a wekaer pair or OESD here. On the turn you can safely fold. The way CO played it its as if...

Re: 2/4 AKS no pair. river bet?

I don't like the river bet. He either has a draw or a pair. A fishy player won't fold a pair and he won't call with many of his missed draws. I can't see you being ahead >50% here and if he won't...

Re: Play on Turn Picking Up Draw HU in Big Pot

I don't like the cap. MP2 cold called 3 bets and his stats don't indicate that he is the sort to do this with many hands - even if he realises that MP1 could have pretty much anything.

I like the...

Re: Maybe I Play Too Passively

Without a read it is impossible to put him on a range here. Clearly players will raisea lot of hands first in from the SB. Some players will almost autocap when 3-bet, others almost always call.

I would've also bet and fold to a raise on the turn.

I would have bet the turn too. But when it comes back raised to us, we are getting ~10/11:1 to call and have 4 full...

Re: Maybe I Play Too Passively

What hand calls the river that you beat? What better hand folds the river getting 7:1?

Anyways, if you're making a mistake folding, it can't be a big mistake since it's hard to put the aggressor on something like 9-5 for the smaller two pairs.

Re: Very loose passive table questions

1) In Limit hold’em you should be looking to push small edges. It is not good play to avoid raising when you have a clear equity advantage because your hand might get tricky to play on a later...

Re: huge odds, but no outs, no hand.. or so i thought

Your 3 Ace outs are likely to be dominated, someone might already have AK, given the action preflop - so I would fold.

By the way, I think it was really poor that you saw the flop with A8s for 4...

I'm not sure how we're ahead of AA & TT. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

If his range is AA, TT & AK :-

AA - 1 combo
TT - 3 combos
AK - 8 combos

Re: A revisit to discussion about pot equity (NO hand)

You can raise for value HU, as your equity is not simply the % of the time that you improve to a winning hand. In HU pots especially, the combination of the equity of your draw + the chance you are...

Re: The Hero, The Villain and the Limp Reraiser

Seems to me that if you check, the LRR will bet and the button would raise his overcards or pair to try to get HU with the bad player. You would then be getting ~8:1 on your 5-6 out draw.

If you...
