Re: AJo......Stage 1 of play along

I would raise while I was ahead. Someone is chasing the flush with all those callers in there. Ergo I wouldn't want to raise the turn if a diamond hit. If you are beat you'd also find out if...

Re: What I Learned from Accidentally Entering a Limit Tournament -- Re

Yeah, I had a hard time getting out of one the other day. Actually about 4 of us at the table mentioned that we really wanted NL. So I raise the flop, raise the turn, and they keep folding. It was...

Re: Advice on playing as the big stack

You just get to raise anything you might normally play. You will steal plenty of blinds. You can fold to any all-ins. Just call with any pair and hope you hold up. Definitely avoid doubling up...

Re: Is this hand indicitive of why I\'m terrible at tournaments?

I don't think you'll find too many players that will push TPTK early, so I would fold to the all in. Typically I lose to the top 2 pr here, or the set if I call here.

If he does push with TPTK...

Re: *The Official Party Poker Million IV Semis Sunday Thread*

Ack 500th.

Ironically I lose to QQ, which killed me earlier. He just smooth called pre-flop. I had TP. I have to start doing that with QQ.

Re: *The Official Party Poker Million IV Semis Sunday Thread*

Made the third break but lost QQ to KK. So I'm on the respirator now.

1 huge stack and 4 big stacks at the table. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: *The Official Party Poker Million IV Semis Sunday Thread*

Second break at t7300.

Got really lucky with my 2pr AQ vs. a set of sixes. That woulda crippled me.

Re: *The Official Party Poker Million IV Semis Sunday Thread*

Made it to first break with ~t5000.

Gave some money to someone with AA. Caught a set of tens and called down a river bluff on the 3rd flush card. Good to be lucky.

#185

Plan: Make it to the break. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Re: 30/60 on Stars--Better play?

This is great flop for you. The only draw is the str8 and you have 2 of those outs. I'd check raise the flop _hoping_ to trap people in there.

Re: KK vs AA in a big tournament, best way to avoid going broke?

Staying in the tourney is probably more important this early. Laying down KK or AA is tough though.

Whenever I think what are the odds he has AA again(!) I get screwed. Go with your read.

Easy push?

This is a $30 multi on Party. There were 450 entrants and it's down to 140 or so. I'm sucking wind, as usual. I've doubled up twice from the resperator to about 1000. It's just after the first...

Re: Straight flush!!!

There's only one card in the deck that can beat you and you can't find a raise on the river?

You win the weak award for the day.

Re: Optimal W$SD %

Giving up to early affects your showdown numbers. If you played those hands you folded your %'s would go down (cause you prolly lose), but you might actually make more $.

Re: couldn\'t muck A\'s

Unless you really know your opponent, you can't muck there. He could have AK easily, or QQ if he's really aggressive.

I can think of plenty of times where I was in the same shoes as you and split...

Re: Terrible call on the turn? and question about pot odds

Anyone want to mention that it's a horrible flop call? It's suited. Has basically no straight potential. Once card straights are often tied, and lose to 2 card straights. If you miss all that,...

Re: Ciaffone and getting raised in turn?

What limit do you play?

I don't think you'd ever get to the showdown in 10/20 or 15/30. At least some days it feels that way.

It's also helpful to go back through and look through all the...

Re: 6 tabling with 2 monitors( working for 2 days on this, please help

I have the 20" EIZO's. Very nice but more $$ than the Dell's. They pivot which is kewl. Check out www.cnet.com (http://www.cnet.com), they review and rate nearly all of them.

It looks like PokerEdge does this as a service.

I kinna wanted to do the same thing with PokerOffice, since it runs on MySql. Their db a little better designed imho. I was just going to send out...

Re: Party 15/30 stats check

Well, I wouldn't worry about the variance if you are winning close to 4 bets / 100. Your variance isn't way higher than everyone else, the stats I've seen run around 15/100.

I with PT would give...

Re: Feedback on my poker tracker line?

Just to add more info, if anyone notices that you play 11% then it's super easy to take your money. They basically know what you have.

So if the flop comes T high, and you are early, I'm betting....

Re: 2+2 Private Table 5//10 on Party at 10PM Tonight

Thanks for inviting. It was a lot of fun. It sort of went from 80% of the pots 3 bet (the rest were capped I think) to first raise takes it down.

Nice meeting and chatting with you all.
