Re: 400NL T8o blind defence

To win this hand I think you either need to lead the turn or river for ~$100, but I am not sure that would help.

If villain does not have clubs it looks like he has at least a one pair hand and...

Re: Live 1-2, KK played too weakly?

[ QUOTE ]
Youre playing the hand like someone who has AK, not KK.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, and makes me wonder if I should raise on the end. Anyone think I could raise his $25 bet to 75 or 100...

Re: Live 1-2, KK played too weakly?

I really did not think villain had a queen, and for whatever reason thought he had a hand like 99. I guess I just don't really see what betting accomplishes other than the obvious, which is taking...

turn is standard?

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably, but I would not be happy getting called by both opponents, which in turn leads to checking behind on the river.

in my experience a tight player doesnt play AQ/KQ like that, like ever.

so i expect a big draw most of the time and sometimes a set.

would be a tough fold to make in the heat of the...

Re: Live 1-2, KK played too weakly?

If I raise the flop, yes I think villain folds basically all hands I am beating. I suppose if I made a girly raise he calls with 5-6, but I don't really see why he would lead with that (perhaps...

Live 1-2, KK played too weakly?

Live 1-2 at Caesar's AC, Hero has ~350, Villain covers.
Villain is a good, aggressive, thinking player (a rarity in this game). He will raise basically any two, but generally has reasonable...

Re: 2/4 NL- If it weren\'t for luck, I\'d lose everytime

Bet the pot on the end and make him fold hands better than yours

EDIT: Ok, that might be all-in for villain, so only do it if he will lay down a set.

Re: 20/40 top set

Some of these posts seem to ignore something the OP said; Villain is willing to stack off with TPTK.

From that I would assume although he would probably check behind on the end with one pair, he...

Villains most likely holdings...KK, QQ, JJ, AA, AK. KK is probably the most likely, but also the only one that pays off.

EDIT: And if you thought he had KK you could have just...

Re: floped a set...time to get paid

I like the way you played this. Not much you can do if your opponent has Ace high, he is not paying off anything.

Re: Unknown SB leads small on the flop

I see this a lot from a hand like 10-10 trying to cheaply determine if you hit the flop. Of course it could always be a draw looking for a cheap turn card. I raise to 75-90 and probably fold to a...

Re: The turn - KK

Yeah, this spot kinda sucks, but I am not folding to that bet. Make him convince you on the river. If he checks a harmless river, bet and expect to be called by a one pair hand.
