Re: NL50 - tricky AA hand

OK, new to NL ring, yada yada, so I'll post my thoughts on this hand. I'm much more interested in thinking like a winner than winning a hand here or there. So here we go... (and I'll do this in the...

Re: Please analyze my play here...

Bet more on the flop.
Bet the turn.
Call the river. Being that you raised, definitely fold to the push. I can gaurantee that calling that is -EV.

Re: I\'m a winning player, but I\'m too tight!

I used to feel that I was too tight too, I think my vp$ip has always hovered right around 15% in full ring games. I've never been a real cash game player, so this is only over 4-5k hands lifetime. ...

Re: January goals post (and December revisited)

I've always been a SNG / MTT player, so my goal is to make a transition to NL cash games this month. I'm going to start at NL50 and hopefully get in at least 25k hands this month. I'd like to have...

First off, use the hand converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi) to post hands from now on. Take the word "texas" out of the HH before you convert it. You'll get a...

Re: Fundementals Questions

I raise all of them.

If you flop top set, you want to get money in the pot with them, and you'll get a lot more money in the pot if you raise PF and c-bet it just like you would if you missed. ...

No, and on the flop, KQ was definitely a hand that I was worried about. But I thought KQ would lead the turn after check-raising the flop, so I kinda...

I think the decision on every street is interesting here. Villain is 17.2/0/3 after (only) 29 hands.

Re: Curtains Hand - 66 Lvl 2

I'd fold. The only real reason to play small pairs early is for their implied oods when you flop a set. But there's no reason to assume that you'll get much value out the hand since most of the...

Re: 10+1: bubble KQ

Stop and go is really bad, seeing as how you have 0 fold equity post-flop. You really think your t260 bet is going to get him to fold any 2 cards with t2200 in the pot? He's getting almost 10:1.

Re: How\'s my early AK play?

Hm, I'm not sure I'd c-bet the first one because that 8TQ flop could have hit a lot of hands that would call a raise PF and you also wouldn't mind taking a free card to try to hit your straight.

Re: Stop and Go Criteria

More generally, you should be first to act on the flop and feel that you have no fold equity pre-flop, but some post-flop. It's also helpful if your hand has some showdown value.
