Re: Explain to me why the small raise is correct??

I didn't explain myself clearly. I don't think anyone is pot committed on the flop with a 4% raise. What I do think is that you get AK, AQ, AJ, KK, QQ etc committed by turn much easier when you...

Explain to me why the small raise is correct??

Everybody thinks his play was great, but I really don't like the small raise with AA out of position. Now I only play the 400/600 tables, but I think a small raise is really a mistake here. Make it...

Re: KK Hand

I'm relatively new to this level of play, but I think smooth calling with KK preflop is a huge mistake. Get your money in PF. Raise to at least $100.

My first high stakes post; hand analysis needed.

Please give me some feedback here. Although I considered the villian had KK, I thought it was very likely he had AK. I put the villian on AK because:
1. He does not reraise preflop. I would...

Re: Help pimp my crap PC cheaply

I second what Ken said. You are completely wasting your money updating that computer. Buy a new one, or a "new to you" used computer.

Re: Party NL100 - Overpair all in on flop??

Hand 2:
I don't give away much information about my hand. I always open raise for 6-7 preflop. The players are still playing it like it's a $2 blind, and I like to make the pots as big as possible...

Re: empress58 (tel-aviv)

I used to play against her all the time on Absolute. She played at least 12 hours a day. Plays weak tight in my opinion. I haven't played at Absolute in about 6 months though.

Big Jump - From Party $100NL to $1000NL??

Need some advice here. I've been beating the Party NL100 game for about $35/100 for over 30K hands. I want to move up, but it seems like the 200/400/600 games have much lower average pots than I'm...

Re: Wide aspect monitors

I've got the 2005FPW and I love it. That being said, there is some overlap when 4 tabling. The overlap doesn't bother me. It is a better quality monitor than the 2001FP, and it's great to watch...

Party $25 NL Win Rate

What kind of win rate can a good player expect on Party's $25 NL tables? I know the 1 BB/hour rule at limit, but I would guess one could win more than $1/hour at these easy tables. Anyone with >...

Re: Thinking about starting a raked game, advice needed

How do most private card rooms handle security? I'm thinking of a locked front door with video. Any other ideas?

Re: Thinking about starting a raked game, advice needed

Thanks for the reply. I need video for security. I think I'll run it into a digital video recorder, but I'll encrypt it so it can't ever be used.

Not to be rude, but...

I think about 90% of gamblers in Vegas are walking around with more than $1500. I've personally taken 20K down many times, and walked the strip and downtown (scary) with 3-5K. You shouldn't worry...
