Re: So I just lost 30K......

Russian Bear, hell yeah BG. Second off, this topic has run it's course, I learned alot just from reading some of the better posts. In short, Jonny is a good player who had not run into a situation...

Re: So I just lost 30K......

Can't say I recommend taking money out of stocks to go back to NL 1k. I know you're doing well in 400, so stick around for a while and see what kind of things you can do for your bank roll.

Re: Just recently moved up to NL200. Taking one-pair hands too far?

Making this play will make you more money than it will lose you at this level. I know what you're talking about on that transition though, just make sure you keep making your continuation bets and...

Re: KK put to the test preflop

Reads?! Having good reads is so key preflop, whereas post flop play is largely less predictable. Anyways I'd say that you call hand one and there are justifiable reasons for pushing or calling...

Re: 6max 3/6 Party deep stacks - flopped set in unraised pot

Being in the small blind, he could be holding just about anything, so you have to be careful here. I call down the flop and then reevaluate on the turn. If you fill, look to extract as much money...

Re: QQ how bad did I play this?

Raise it up to $20 when it gets to you on the button. Then on the flop you need to raise as well, find out where you're at and get some value out of AT or someone chasing a flush/straight draw. ...

Re: AK line against 2 callers

My line in that situation would be very similiar up until the river. You have to make a blocking/value bet there on the river. If he calls you're probably only beat by a low flush (value from AJ),...

Re: Terrible Player Whats My Line

You got in that situation because you didn't make a blocking/value bet there. After the .50 bet though I'm just calling down b/c you do not want to see a push rereaise. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF...

Re: $25 NL to $200 NL

I also have moved up from NL 25 to NL 200 and my BB/100 decreases slightly at each level, but it's hard to say b/c it only took me about a month to make the move and I have less than 3,000 hands for...

Re: Did i just buy two useless books?

The good news, as far as I'm concerned, is that there are no good small stakes hold'em books in print. I only just started reading Theory of Poker and I've been playing for a couple years now. I'm...

Re: Did I get enough out of this AA?

I definitely agree he is holding JJ-AA withthe 2% PFR, so my question is why not push preflop after the reraise? I do it all the time with aces in higher limits against similiar players and it...

Re: Keep playing on tilt vs. donks with big stacks?

[ QUOTE ]
what good is it playing with donks if you on tilt and going to make some bad plays and giving them more chips. If your mind is not there you will not play correctly and won't be able to...

Nevertheless, calling the turn is correct.

Re: Defending my blind with the dreaded AQ - flop TPTK

I can't really say there's much of anything wrong with that line, betting TPTK and getting called down all the way through can be quite profitable in lower limits, but after the PFR by the villian I...

Re: Re-raised with TPTK.

Once again this is tough with out reads, but I'm calling down and seeing what he does on the turn. Possibly fearing a set here but not many would fast play a set like that, and I'd be hard pressed...

What the hell is going on with Party??? Someone tell me something I don't know. Why random tables keep disconnecting while others stay, and why I couldn't login earlier.

NL 50+ win rates

I'm new to Poker Tracker (one week of playing with it) and I'm interested to know what kind of win rates people are getting at and above 50 NL. My sample size is still fairly small (2,500 hands) but...

Re: Flopped Straight, Lots of Action (PartyPoker $100 NL 6-max)

Without reads there you have to swallow your pride and lay that down. Not only you should you be very concerned with AQ, any flopped set (now full house/quads) or someone getting a fortunate turn...

Re: How will Detroit fare without LB?

Detroit will hardly miss a beat, and anyone who watches the team knows this. LB was a great asset to the team as a whole, so I'm not discounting that, but it's not like the Pistones were nothing...

Re: Extracting money on this hand...

At this point I raise to $8, and here's why. If he is holding AK like you think, then he won't be paying you off much anyways but he may/will likely call the raise holding a spade. If he does have...

Re: Is there any beat worse than this one?

The answer to this question is yes. In one of my first hands in a party skin, NL 50 (don't feel like finding the hand history), I had AA and flopped A 9 5 rainbow heads up after I raised preflop,...

Re: I pick up QQ the hand after losing a huge pot

Nothing wrong at all with that play, after losing a big pot (especially if I was bluffing) there's nothing better than looking down at AA/KK/QQ and pushing into a raiser. This is the time when you...
