Re: Calldown with aces?
I agree with this. I think you have to raise the flop to give yourself the best chance to win and force the BB out.

Re: action?
KQo vs 9 or 10 early it's a fold. vs 8 is a marginal call.
KQs vs an open limper is a call to encourage a multi-way pot. vs open raise I'd fold until I learned more about the player.
What do...

Re: PARTY 50. 2NUT FLUSH RIVER PLAY.
I put him on one of these hands:
Possible hands seem like:
AA
QQ, JJ, maybe TT (all with a spade)
I can't give him nines or AQs (spades) since he didn't cap the turn.
You beat most of these...

Re: a 150 hand i forgot about
What was your thought process?
I'm assuming you decided you both picked up draws on the turn and were betting him off a missed draw. Isn't it just as likely that he had a J and was calling you...

Re: have 100 bucks, need help gtting started
My fist question would be how much are you net up from your live play? You should have a seperate set of books and probably more than $100 to invest from prior winnings.
That said if you're...

Re: AA laydown
I think you three bet on the flop. How do you know the SB wasn't check-raising with a King? From there if he four bets I check and call to the river due to pot size. If he calls and bets into you...

Re: Question on cold calling preflop
I believe you have to pay attention to your opponent. If she is a rock, then fold your AJs because you are at risk of being dominated. If a maniac, call w/ AJs and see how you like the flop.

Re: beating the ultra loose game
I would have played your hand the exact same way. You didn't say if the players were aggressive but it seems like they are not. Sit back, wait for great cards, and jam the pot when you get them,...

What about Phil Hellmuth\'s book?
Has anyone tried the starting requirements advocated in Phil's new book, "Play Poker Like the Pros"? I tried it in a low limit game and got killed. The problem I found is that in low limit, nobody...

Really interesting story/post. This is my first day at this forum and I was wondering what your ID is at ParadisePoker. I play the lowest limits but have managed to win a few hundred from a $100...

Re: How bad is this?
I think it depends on your read of the opponent. With 9 bets in the pot you're getting enough odds for an overcard assuming you thought that was good enough to become top hand.

Re: Hand I was thinking about
I think this is the "textbook" reason why you don't try to buy a free card without a draw to the nut flush (with an unpaired board). I would have called on the flop.

Re: Good Fold or bad?
With all those callers the minimum unsuited hand with a king would be KQ in my book. For KJ you'd want less callers.

Re: AJo in SB
Even in a looser game I'm wondering why you raised as the LB with AJ, a marginal hand. You had no position and the callers were in early position. What did you figure them for that you could beat?
