If you are hesitant about money, I would suggest you try 200-400 play chips tables at stars. If you consistently beat that, then you can jump to 2c/4c. The play not very different. Then move slowly...

I playing other games basically to unwind myself which in turn helps improve my focus @HE. If you are looking for fun, hi-lo's are best IMO.

Do you play Limit or NL? I tend to think Limit is better for a good player, as one hand won't make it a big disaster. Does this make sense?

some of the tables are no-foldem types - very loose on turn. so, if you do proper game selection, I think the additional rake is no serious concern.
