Price Is Right Big Wheel Strategy
Let's say you get to "Come On Down" on the Price Is Right, you get on stage, you fail to win any money at Plinko, and as a result you are the first contestant (of 3) to spin the big wheel in the...

Re: Should I see a gynecologist?
I check-raise flop 1 because: 1) odds are I have the best hand, 2) it's a stronger play than betting out, and 3) your hand is vulnerable. Very few players in these 3/6 and 5/10 party games will fold...

Re: Should I see a gynecologist?
Am I the only one that check raises on both of these flops? I think flop C/Rs make these types of hands MUCH easier to play.

Re: QTo Blind play
Then folding is probably OK, just as long as you are prepared to make a stand if this situation repeats itself too frequently.

Re: An AJ hand
I initially thought that best (that is a more typical line for me), but lately I think villain will often CC and C/R the turn with a better hand. So does that really help me?

An AJ hand
Party 3/6 6-Max hand.
BB here is a little to loose/passive pre-flop, and medium aggro post-flop, but not overly so. Let's say a 36/10/1.6-ish stats for this discussion.
I have A...

Re: QTo Blind play
There is no "standard" play here. Under the right circumstances, with the right players, you could take your line, 3-bet pre-flop, call flop and raise turn, etc...These situations are texture...

Re: 2/4, good turn fold vs unknown?
I think checking here is entirely dependant on MP. If MP is a "bet if checked to" kind of guy, then a C/R is a no-brainer. If MP is passive, then leading this flop in a small pot will pick it up...

Re: Facing turn raise with AK
This line is interesting; at first I thought "chip spewing", but maybe not....
However, I think if you 3-bet the turn and are called, you MUST lead the river on any card (fold to a raise UI, of...

Re: 2/4, good turn fold vs unknown?
I think you are making too strong of a read on your opponent's hand, given how you played it. When you check the turn here, your opponent will bet with many hands that you beat (or at least tie)...

Re: It\'s AQ
I'm also an advocate for betting the river. The question is: Is this an "easy" fold to a C/R?

Re: Huge vag. or well played?
This post got me thinking. Is it really correct to raise the river here? Would a 2+2er bet AK on the river, given how this played out? I'm thinking he would check.
If the 2+2er would check AK,...

Re: Checkraise city.
Nice hand. One of those spots where you have to be happy that villain chose the (uncommon) 3-bet turn -- free showdown line.

Re: If you\'re a bad girl....
Funny, I had a hand very similar to this that I wanted to post. This is my standard line here, and I have often felt that it is sub-optimal, but I really can't think of a more sensible line.

Holy frijoles you overplayed this. Go into calldown mode on the turn 3-bet. If he went nutso with AK, then count your blessings.

Re: HU OOP on a coordinated board
BT: If the turn is a blank (say 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif), are you donkbetting or Check-raising? I'm inclined to C/R HU, despite the freecard possibility, curious what others would do....

Re: Fight for this protected pot?
I don't like this fold....
You are likely ahead of UTG: UTG seems either on a draw or a frustrated smaller pair trying to improve.
When you just called the 3-bet, I think BB will bet this turn...
