Re: gapper probability questions

I haven't figured out these numbers before, but I'll assume yours are correct. With a one gap, lets say 79, you will hit an open-ender with 68x, 8Tx, you will hit a gut shot with 8Jx, 85x, 56x, or...

Re: figuring odds when both parties can improve

So there are 45 cards left in the deck, you will not hit a diamond (36/45) * ( 35/44) times =0.636, so he will win 36.4% of the time with the flush. Of the remaining times, he will hit a jack 1-...

Re: Quads vs Quads

You will be a pocket pair 1/17 times, your opponent will then get one 72/1225. Now, of the remaining 48 cards, 4 of them must be definite, and one can be any card. There are 48 choose 5 boards, or...

Re: What\'s wrong with this BJ strategy?

1/2 of the time, you win $1, 1/4 you win $2 1/8 you win $3 1/16 you win $4 1/16 you lose $26 ,(1 * 1/2) + (2 * 1/4) + (3 * 1/8) + (4 * 1/16) - (26 * 1/16) = 0 which means your strategy breaks even if...

Re: Question about rakes as it relates to bonuses.

To encourage people to play more ring games than tournaments, because a tournament might earn them about $1 for a 1hour tourney, but in a ring game they could earn several times that.

Re: Help with % of winners in PT

Because its over such a small hand sample. Ie. if you play headsup against players, and only play one hand against each player, the average win % will be right near 50%, but that doesnt mean 50% are...

Re: Probability/odds of specific flop

There are 6 possible combinations, QQ and one of 3 kings or 3 aces. There are 48*47*46/6 possible flops= 17296 and when divided by 6 that makes about 1/2883 flops.

Re: outs

Say I have QJs on a board of T92 (2 of my suit) all 9 of my suit, the 3 K's 3Q's 3 J's and 3 8's make 21 outs. How about if I have A2 against 22 and the cards come AJ74 now I have 43 outs.

Re: Chances of flopping a boat

There are 3 of card x and 3 of card y remaining in the deck of 50, the first card has a 6/50 chance of being an x or y, the second card has a 5/49 and the third card has a 4/48 less the 3! *2 time...

Re: An Update.

I think its very similar, if you have a board showing a pair and only 1 player playing, they will have quads about 1/1100 times. If they play ten hands, on this board, they will hit quads about...

Re: I don\'t get Stats- Homer\'s Streaks Spreadsheet - Xpost

4 tabling 5 hours = 20 table hours / day, * 240 days / year = 4800 table hours, if you make 2.00BB/hr, thats 8* $4800/year so $38400, ~39000, that does seem pretty good, but accurate if you can make...

Re: Flopping top FH against quads

There are 46 cards left, and one must be on of you're two tens, and the other two must be either 2 9's or 2 7's. Lets say 2 7's come, there are 12 possibilities for how the cards could fall, because...
