Re: Another interesting 2-4 hand

if you raise this hand preflop here (i never would), you have to bet this flop heads-up. you aren't going to hit a high hand very often w/ A248s, so your raise needs to buy you fold equity from stuff...

Re: A high value bet

UTG's range may be a little too narrow this time, but this is a good spot for it sure. in general, most A-high value bets come when youre in a steal situation against a blind.

Re: Two quotes from two books, concerning high hands in shorthanded po

this twodimes stuff is like a disease. its not a good tool for limit poker analysis... and i'm increasingly seeing limit players abuse this stuff to their peril.

when thinking about the low, you...

Thanks for the insight. So...say a 20/11 opens in the CO, folds to you in the BB, what range are you calling/raising?

Re: It\'s that time....15/30 stats post

your blind play is so terrible...

play tons more hands from the SB in unraised pots, defend your BB a ton ton ton more. in general you seem weak-tight postflop too.

Re: 88 - I cold call

turn raise is easily best if your read is accurate, though many times you can simply fold to MP3's bet.

I don't neccesarily call this preflop either, I understand that u have odds if u hit a set, but there r so many hand combinations that beat you w/ this many people in

Re: action junkie LO8 hand, cap it, cap it, cap it

really just cap the flop, especially when you suspect idiots calling off with A2K or something hoping to improve. the turn is SB trying to promote like every time, and you should react w/ a cap for...

Re: 1/2 PS LO8 hand - is this hand played properly?

fold preflop, its not close at all. look what happened. you flopped a crappy straight on a made-low board and met a turn card you didn't like, but showed down hoping to take 1/2 of a 3-way pot,...

Re: Blind steal, change of pace.

checking the flop is clever against an opponent who's going to push back with draws. tons and tons of sb calling hands hit this board in some form, and you can't differentiate kings from J9 or 87s no...

Re: Qxo in the SB.

nice turn check, but raise. he'll invent reasons to call w/ junk, and show down any piece. your line only gets a river bet when LAG bluff-raises or hits some part of the board he would've called a...

Re: A2s in BB

your problem on the turn is a lack of fold equity. you are almost certainly up against a bigger ace that will call you down, or something like KQ/KJ. many of these hands will bet this turn card...

Re: 88 against two bonified lagtards.

if you're getting 3-bet preflop by 44 or A6, it's a really good time to raise first-in. limping just invites more crap to enter a pot that's almost certainly ending up shorthanded anyway, so the call...

Re: A10 SB hand

the flop bet is good, and so is the turn check/call when he raises. you don't want to mess around when there are plenty of overcards and gutshot possibilities in CO's range.

BB is much more likely...

Re: JTs from MP vs good player 30/60

it's been said, but you really need to give SB a chance to 3-bet his big sets and 2-pair hands. since you didn't cap, and JTs is pretty iffy preflop, a good player will 3-bet at least any set or AK....

Re: Is this spewage? I never know what to do here.

it's fine. the flop 3-bet is very important for value and the chance to fold MP1's heart those times you need to. when capped you have to bet the turn, and when raised you have a decision. call or...

Re: Choose your seat (complex)

hope I'm not intruding, but I think that analysis is too simple. there are tons of calling station players who defend super-liberally but play so predictably that it's OK to take the worst of it...

Re: Long Time No Post : AJo on the Button

looks good. weaker aces will probably call, and as a bonus the A7/T7 hands are pissed now, whereas they might have pushed you off your hand had you raised the turn.

this board isn't great for the...

Re: 30/60 whole table on tilt--after this they all say i\'m a moron

This is really standard. The river bet is the only potential issue, but your read makes it perfect.
