Re: I can\'t fold

I think it's important to realize that his little $18 minraise is actually a $95 threat. If you call it, the pot will be $92 and he will have only $53 left with two more streets to go. He's almost...

Re: Laying Down KK preflop?

The only fact you need to consider are the pot odds. You are getting 2.5-1 on your money. You would have to be over 80% sure he had AA and not AK to make folding correct. This is a must call. I dont...

Re: Common problem with super-draws

I'm assuming villian was the PF raiser. Unless villian has AKc or AQc you probably have the best hand if you can get to the river. I would lead for $10 and hope to get raised by a big overpair.

Re: I hate this fold, thoughts?

I know what you mean. I guess I should have said that MY gut is usually right. 60-70% right i'd guess.

Re: I hate this fold, thoughts?

I don't think your bets are weak. I'm looking at your play through your villians eyes. After Harrington's book came out it seems like alot of people see every non-pot bet as a c-bet.

Re: QQ UTG vs. good players

The hands you beat are JJ-66 (36 ways). The hands that beat you are 55,44,33,54,43,A2 (43 ways). The times he has 65 and bets probably cancel out the times he has 67 and bets. Against a single...

Re: Let\'s talk about pot control OOP

Actually, once you hit your third jack, pot control is no longer an issue.

Re: Let\'s talk about pot control OOP

MP1's stack size takes precedent over pot control in this hand. After the flop it's important to realize that he has only one bet left. All the money is going in. Nothing else matters.

Re: I hate this fold, thoughts?

Consider these points:

How do you think he sees you, good (or weak) enough to fold top pair?

Both your bets could be seen as weak, especially the turn.

A 4-5 post flop aggression is very...

Re: QQ hand - love it or hate?

horrible

First off, how do you know button will bet?

Second, why are you trying to represent a flush when you already have a made hand?

Re: Is limping aces from all positions a NL $25 trend... (lc)

I always make a note of people who do this. I find that people that do it, do it every time. Likewise, most people who raise with their big pairs, do it every time. It's valuable information.

Re: Live JJ hand

I think this is one of those times where slowplaying might be the better line. The only cards you don't want to see are a king or a queen, and an ace would be heaven (most of the time). If CO does...

Re: AK Villain refuses to let me control the pot size

Why are you slowplaying this against an unknown? You gave up control of the hand and now you have no idea where you are.

Re: What do we do here against maniac?

Against a maniac like that a call is manditory.

I don't think I've ever seen numbers like that over so many hands. I love that guy.

Re: Call or fold the 3rd nut flush?

What's his post flop aggression? What's his went to showdown%?
Have you seen him make a move like this before? Have you seen him slowplay monsters? Is he a trapper?

Re: Flopped trips with suited connectors. 2 Deepstacks.

Looks like nines-full to me. But since you said the hand was unreal, i'm guessing 75s or 33.

Re: Flopped set, and a nightmare appears

I think you can rule out AK and AQ. It's aces or kings. There are 6 ways to make KK and 4 ways to make AA, so three time out of two you are way ahead. But since a pair of kings is not going to call...

Re: Never felt so passive with AA on all streets, 200nl

He's got 1/2 pot bet left and you've given him no reason to believe that you will bet the river. If he has you beat, he should have used his last chance to get the rest of his money in. However, he's...

Re: Should I raise on the river here?

I think you are better more than 50% of the time if you can rule out the flush. There are 12 ways to make the nut str8 and 18 ways to make a set on the flop. Not to mention the times he will call...

Re: KK unimproved, facing a push and a call

[ QUOTE ]
If you're going to play KK this way on the early streets, the turn is an instacall.

I never though about it that way.

Re: KK unimproved, facing a push and a call

But you had an EASY situation before the flop and you blew it.
