Re: Limping AA UTG, L1

[ QUOTE ]
What do you gain by limp re-raising that you don't by just raising

[/ QUOTE ]

You get extra money in the pot instead of a few measly blinds.

Re: Pokerstars Tourney summaries

You can request them from the lobby as well, ask for last tournament, and last hour or 3 hours or whatever of hand histories. They keep your last 200 hands available to be sent automaticaly when you...

Re: I moved up and immeditately got hammered

[ QUOTE ]
I think the problems in moving up levels are as much psychological as they are ability related. At least that was the deal in my case, as it always took me a little while to feel...

Re: OT: My 38 game OOTM streak is over

38 OOTM? It makes me cringe just to think about it. Then how much is a safe bankroll? I thought 30 or 40 buy ins was generally considered ok.

Hey guy, I sure as hell wouldn't want to play poker...

Re: ($33 or $55) Emergency push any 2?

[ QUOTE ]
I prefer to get the 3rd at least rather than the 4th or even the 5th.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just how do you plan on doing that if you get blinded off?

Re: ($33 or $55) Emergency push any 2?

[ QUOTE ]
You should only do the ALL IN with AA, KK, QQ, JJ and AK. Not AQ becase the bad guy can have the AK and you lose.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wrong. I don't know if you're just trolling, or you...

Re: To all of the downswing whiners around here

[ QUOTE ]
Not claiming those were my numbers, either, but I dont think 40% ITM at $55 is unreasonable

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I personally know people that claim to be doing it at 55s and 109s, so...

Re: To all of the downswing whiners around here

[ QUOTE ]
FWIW, I realize as you move up to the higher levels, 45/36 ITM/ROI might be a pipe dream, but at only 12%, I'd still be looking for the leaks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you play 55s? I...

Re: $22\'s: Is this a push hand?

Are others pushing right now? Is anybody calling them? I probably push it in and close my eyes, unless I think there's a good chance of being called.

Re: Too Many 4th\'s

This is bad. I wouldn't call the first raise with KQ, and then the second raise, what were you thinking? You really shouldn't be calling raises with a hand like that. C'mon, you're a dog to any...

People will play any ace in a 5. You are up against aces almost guaranteed. Fold.

Re: $22 on the bubble

I don't pretend to know the answer. But, it seems ot me that if you are conceding your 200 chips everytime there is an overcard, you're going to be behind when you call the min-raise. If...

Re: Slow play set on a dangerous flop?

Yes, you must play well post-flop to limp these, and only do it under the correct table conditions. Of course in the early levels like this, I'm always looking to make my money post-flop.

Re: Slow play set on a dangerous flop?

If you know for a fact that nobody's going to raise the pot after you and you know for a fact you can take the pot down with a bet on the flop, you should limp any 2, shouldn't you?

Re: Slow play set on a dangerous flop?

The problem is that in level 2, you only have implied odds for a set against the other huge stacks. To play 55 for set value against 25bb (T750) stacks, you have to stack someone about...
