Re: Help me With Pot Odds.

Well, there is $1100 in the pot and you have to call $500. With 56 vs. AK, you have about a 40% chance to win.
So you use the formula:
(amount you can win*chnance of winning)-(amount you can...

Re: MATH QUESTION(intersting live hand)

The odds that four opponent are dealt four different pocket pairs is:
C(4,2)/C(52,2)*C(4,2)/C(50,2)*C(4,2)/C(48,2)*C(4,2)/C(46,2)=~.00000000066
The odds that three of those pocket pairs turn into...

Re: Fantasy Help - Week 2 Playoffs - Which defense?

Idk thats a tough call but i think Green Bay is the better pick. Both teams could lose but Green Bay should give up less points.

Re: Another Interesting Home Game situation

Was he last to act. Because in a tournament, you are allowed to expose your cards if no more bets can be made. This would be the case since your all-in and he is last to act. However, even if his...

Re: Having AQ Vs. QQ and having a Q flop

[ QUOTE ]

to put it briefly, I only have to worry about my opponent having a set of
Queens when I have AQ (or a set of Aces when I have AK) only 6.25% of the time..., right?

Re: Any eight will win!

Was it all-in on the turn. If so why wasn't his hand already exposed?

Re: Extracting with Quads

No, I don't think a push is good here. If he has AK, he probably folds to a push but probably calls this raise. If he has KK or JJ, he'll re-raise anyway.

Re: NL100 hand, flopped the nut straight and getting action

I don't see anything wrong with how you played it, you have the nuts and you got a nice pot with it.

Re: Odds: Two 4 of a kinds in the same hand

Assuming that one player holds KQ and one player holds 44, the odds of the board reading: 44KKK is 1/C(48,5) or 1/1712304 or about .00006%.
Assuming one player holds 44 and one holds 88, the chance...

Re: Probability question...

I am not sure exactly what you are asking here. If you are asking how many boards in Texas Hold'em make top set the nuts, then it does not matter what size table it is at.
In order for top set to...

Re: AA pf raise gets 6 callers

Well then I probably wouldn't push, I think betting 6.50 is a good idea, but I might bet a little more. You have the nut-flush draw and I can't see a rocky table calling preflop with low spades. If...

Re: AA pf raise gets 6 callers

What was your stack size? If it was 6.50, I definetly push with the nut draw.

Re: KK 3 bet pf

I think you could have folded it preflop. A re-re-raise for half his stack, I am pretty sure he has AA. But once you get to the flop, I don't think you can fold it there.

Re: Dumb math question

No, I cannot do this calculation in my head. I am not really sure how to come up with this during a game, besides maybe making it 12/72 24/72 and 36/72 or 1/6 1/3 and 1/2. This would make it easier...
