Why do you want to risk everything at this point of the tourney on a hand like AJ?

I figure that most of the time, let's say about 75% of the time, I'm a 2:1...

Re: ($22)99 on bubble, raiser has been aggressive

[ QUOTE ]
Stop and go, I think. I don't think he's folding if you push, anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure you want him to fold. With an aggressive player, I expect to have him drawing to 2 or 3...

Re: ($22)99 on bubble, raiser has been aggressive

I push. Even without that read I don't think it's close, and with that read it's umm, even less close. Really I'd need a pretty damned good read to *not* push here. I *suppose* you could stopngo, but...

Re: $11 PR Bubble Qxs reraised

You should have pushed. You certainly have to call getting 3-1 unless you have magical powers that allow you to put him specifically on QQ-AA...

Re: 2006 SNG Goals

Haven't posted on 2+2 in a while (and hardly ever in this forum). Where I am now: I 2-table $109s. I make about $15/game so a bit better than $30/hour. Oh, and I'm a student (returning, I'm 32) and...

I almost never see a check-raise preflop, esp. UTG, that isn't A's or K's

Cruising along with about 4700 (average a little over 3K). Blinds 75/150. I've got 79o in the BB. MP (60 fewer chips than me) min-raises to 300. All fold to me. I call. Flop is 79Q with 2 clubs. I...

Re: KJ

You thought you were pot commited with top-pair bad-kicker with 3 people calling a pretty good sized flop bet and a call, raise, and reraise of your turn bet with 1100 left and a pot of about 500?...

Re: Fold My Set?

I agree. I think I disguised my set reasonably well there.
I probably would have just called the flop if the board had been less coordinated. The other option would have been to push on...

No way you can fold this. He can't have a 2 unless in addition to being very good he's insanely aggressive. Your range of hands seems about right (though if it's AK/AQ I'm guessing they are hearts if...

Re: Did i Donk this up?

I hope raising A8s in EP isn't part of what you consider "playing tight". Unless your table is super tight and/or giving your raises a lot of respect, I'm mucking A8s out of position without much...

Re: WPT Foxwoods DS: Do you take this deal against Sheets?

If you want to play in the event so badly and 5K isn't a huge hit for you, why not take the 5K, pony up 5K of your own, and buy in (or set it aside for next years WSOP if you prefer)?

Re: Playing heads-up with a very lucky make allin bet every hand?

Well, you have to make a stand with something, but 89s was not the hand to do it with, since it's an underdog to an average hand.
