I have not played 1/2 yet so it may be much different than .50/1. IMHO, you should lead out on the flop from late position when everyone else has checked. This will help isolate your opponents...

On Hand 1 I would RR preflop. I would continue to be the aggressor by leading out and only fold to his raise at the turn.

Just bet it out. You will get checked through too many times and leave money on the table.
Also, there is no one to check raise on the flop. I would probably have c/r the river though.
