Re: See big scary guy fight stoner in Japan

Emelianenko's brother is about the toughest guy in the world. Not too surprising a result. Was pretty funny to watch though.

Re: A Nice 2+2 Success Story

Congrats to Unarmed. It will be interesting to see in the archives how his questions/advice have improved over time.

One question for either Irie or Unarmed, what areas do you think you've...

Re: Why can\'t I get 1st place? (Bubble HH Enclosed)

Freud, are you really looking for callers with a-k? I don't think I am. A big pair I might do that, but A-K is not that big a favorite over many hands.

Samr, I didn't see any hands that looked...

Re: a coin flip dilemma

I've had a similar situation come up a few times in the past few days. The situation is that it's level 1 of let's say a $22. You have all your chips. One player is shortstacked already, let's say...

Re: Party SNGS not Loading?

according to their public filings, they make $1,000 profit per minute and $100K revenue per hour. in other words, someone is probably getting fired over this (I hope).

first - autopush with that stack in that position
second - I used to have the same problem he does about feeling silly getting caught. He must get over this. Any good player has seen it all...

Re: Omahahahahah

O8 is supposed to be a fairly low variance game thus it requires a smaller bankroll than say hold'em. PLO on the other hand, is about as high variance as poker gets.

Re: Omahahahahah

Hey Octave, I've been playing one or two O8's a day lately. PM if you want to trade some hand histories.

I've done ok at them, but given the relatively low edge in pre-flop hand strength in...

Re: Party Mini Steps Profitability Analysis (In-Depth)

[ QUOTE ]
Nice analysis. However, the Step 1's should theoretically have a much bigger return using proper strategy.

Do they still break down (1), (2-6)? Do they still never have over 6 people...

Re: Who is Tieuluumanh?

I have two games against him in the last two weeks. Neither of us won either one, and no real notes. That means he didn't make an really bad plays at least.

Re: A move I make more often than not. Leak, or standard play?

I probably would have folded in his spot. I think this is a leak in my game though. I'm much too willing to pass on coinflips with a medium stack with the idea that I can just pickup blinds later.

Re: A move I make more often than not. Leak, or standard play?

The BB in this hand (Saden) is a sometimes regular poster on this forum (Benholio) who was probably 8 tabling at the time. Given that info, I would have probably pushed into him without hesitation. ...

Re: Party Steps

I've had some success at the mini-steps (one third place mini 5 cash with about 5 buy-ins). I buy in at step 2. I guess I'd say I do them mostly for fun. One buy in usually lasts a long time...

Re: Getting verbally abused on PP - thanks to 2+2!

I think I read both of these on the forum originally. If someone really starts abusing me, I like to say either

or
"imagine how many of your chips I'd have...

Re: Who pushes here?

Good point. So, I guess the ideal candidate to steal from would be a mid-range stack (t1000-1500). Maybe that's an obvious point. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Who pushes here?

Do you like a push here? The two big stacks have been limping most pots, impacting my already low FE. BB is in that position where he almost has to call, but I don't want to steal from the big...
