Re: AKs in early position...

And when he turns over 44, I just smile, right? (And hope for the runner runner flush!)

Re: AKs in early position...

Okay, glad to hear you say that. But, is my PF raise in early position bad? Is my flop bet too big? I should be worried about draws, so maybe a half-pot-size-bet is more suitable?

Thanks.

AKs in early position...

Hi,

This hand happenned a few days ago, and I've been thinking about it on and off, so I thought I'd post it here. Obviously, I think I played it wrong, but I'd like to hear how the experts play...

Re: Hellmuth lays down AK on a AA4 flop!?

We don't know anything more about this hand, do we?
Did he raise the flop, and then his opponent came
over the top? I guess we'll just have to watch it
on tv.

Re: Applying the AleoMagus \"PP 10+1 recipe\" to other SNGs

Implied odds give you a lot of room to play hands early. I mean, limping KQo in EP is stupid on every level, but instead of playing like AleoMagus, which is pretty solid given only 800...

Yes. If you play these anywhere except the BB or completing the SB on lvl 1 you are bleeding chips early on. If you are looking for extra playable hands to play from late position, try...

With T1500, the play is the same as on PP with only 800, or 1000. The main difference is you can start playing more agressive at an earlier level.

Re: Applying the AleoMagus \"PP 10+1 recipe\" to other SNGs

Thanks. I see the point about the low pairs. AleoMagus suggests "for tighter play, fold 66 or lower", which I was doing. I'll try playing limping with these, and seeing how succesful I am.

So,...

Applying the AleoMagus \"PP 10+1 recipe\" to other SNGs

Hi,

I've recently been playing SNGs on pokerroom. I found the AleoMagus strategy for the PP $10+1 SNGs, which was very very useful, and I believe it more-or-less works for the pokerroom $5+0.5...

Re: TPwK/Flush draw... turn play?

[ QUOTE ]
Hero played this 100% like a flush draw, and expecting him to bet the turn is dumb.

Right. Got it. Going for the check-raise here is a no-no. Thanks.

Also, the K is unlikely to have improved anyone. If UTG flopped a set, then he's making a horrible play by check-raising you on the turn and blowing out MP2.

multi-tabling pokerroom

Hi, Does anyone here multi-table pokerroom? I'm running roughly 4BB/100 (4k hands... I know small sample size), plus lots of SNG success (thanks 2+2), so I think it's time to try multi-tabling.
