Re: No October Party Poker reload?

They are account specific this month. Login and check for a pop-up. If you don't get one, you might be out of luck.

Re: I Cleared the Impossible Party Pop-Up

Really doesn't surprise me. They're trying to slow down the bonus-whores a bit.

Re: Looks like Party Reloads are out...

I got an offer of 775 points for $60. It's not all bad though. I like not having to make a deposit yet still being elogible for the bonus.

Re: New type of keylogger...

It doesn't sound like it's advanced enough to cause much harm if you choose your passwords carefully, even if someone was trying to use it right next to you. The algorithm requires someone to get...

Re: New type of keylogger...

I find it very hard to believe thay can do this with any kind of accuracy in all but the most isolated cases. In any residential area there could be numerous CRTs (TVs, monitors, etc) as well as LCD...

Flop bottom pair, checked around

Just joined this table and have no reads. But this situation comes up several times per night and I'm still not really sure what my best move is on the turn. I usually try to let the pot size...

Re: Two 2/4 hands where I went a little overaggressive

I don't think Hand 1 is that bad the way you played it. I wouldn't be surprised if MP2 had AJ in that spot. I would have just capped the flop and led the turn though.

Hand 2, I think I'm raising...

Re: any reason not to think im ahead here on the turn ?

If you think you're ahead on the flop, then the turn doesn't change a whole lot unless someone is holding 64, which is unlikely after the preflop raise. Keep on betting.

Re: Should I go back to school?

It seems obvious that you don't want to go back to school. Plus you're not really sure on the direction/subject you'd like to major in. I'd continue to take a very light load of 1 - 2 courses and...

Re: Consequences of decreasing aggression

In hand 1, I don't mind being passive, but I would've raised the turn. If he is on a draw I would like to make him pay extra right here, instead of letting him see if he catches before throwing in...

Re: Poker Room 1st Time Deposit...

I have the same issue as OP (previous existing account w/no bonus code from my play money days). Unfortunately it's not as simple as creating a new account using a different email address. They are...

Re: 100% standard AJ raptor hand from sb.. in the 55s at least..

Hmmm...Ok, for my sake could someone explain why we play this so weakly? Are we putting eddyk4 on AK automatically because at a $55 everyone knows better than to limp preflop in this spot? I would...

Re: A few hands from my wonderful day.

Here's what I would do (keep in mind I'm relatively new to NL tourneys, so let me know if I'm way off base)

Hand 1:
Tough decision, I'm either all-in or folding, but likely folding(maybe too...

Re: Big draw on flop

I might have led the flop, but I like it otherwise. I hate his turn bet.

Re: Played this one stupid?

If I elect to checkraise this flop I'm raising more than 800. Probably just put him all-in right there. The flush draw scares me and I don't want to take the chance of my 3s getting counterfeited...

Re: AA preflop with KQ on the board

What would your plays have been having seen the KQ? A probe?

I certainly wouldn't check this flop through. I'd be thinking I have the best hand but I don't want this guy...

Re: High blinds Low pair and OESD- push?

I'm not really sure what I would do now (probably fold)......but I do know that I would have bet this flop.

Re: Too strong with TPTK on the turn or just right?

Doubling your flop bet on the turn would be well over half your stack so you might as well go all-in then.

I'd be inclined to bet about the same amount that I did on the flop. I want him to...

Re: Good call right ?

I would've just pushed with the AJs. You have to call the all-in.

Re: Is this a good move?

Ok, I'm folding preflop then. Since you already called though, his flop bet does look very suspicious. I like the all-in then, and just cross your fingers he doesn't have JJ or AJ.

Re: Is this a good move?

First inclination is to fold preflop. But it would help if we had more info on villain's preflop raising standards. From the info you did give it looks like this guys gotten some great hands so far.

Re: Too big a raise?

I'm a relative newbie to these tourneys as well, but I think a raise of 60 - 75 would be more appropriate. Basically raise about the size of the pot or a tad more. That should knock out one or two...

Re: Two short stacks push, what do you do in BB?

I'm relatively new to NL tournaments, but I think this is an easy fold. You're getting good pot odds, but your hand is just plain lousy. Not worth it to risk 1/4 or more of your stack on.
