Re: How do you play JJ here and why? Interesting bubble situation.

Anything but going all-in is just plain wrong.

You have him covered, your fold equity is tremendous, and you have a great hand.

Re: (55) 2nd pair + gutshot bubble

[ QUOTE ]
Button could be limping with a small ace, instead of raising, because of the short stack.

That would only makes sense if Hero had button significantly covered. This is a...

Re: In sight of HU S&G Help

Marwan, if you're really having that much trouble with it, once it gets to 300-600, just push any time he completes, any pair or with any two cards that add up to 14 or higher, and call with any...

Re: ($27) - KK line

You know, I think I'd take the same line whether the flop was AAA or AA4 actually.

Half to 2/3 on the flop, and fold to a raise. Fold to anything resembling significant turn action. Check the...

Re: Early $27 Turbo with stars... QQ BB play along

I think I'd reluctantly call against unknowns, and lay it down if I respected the overcaller in the least. Tough spot. Also don't think the full pot bet is necessary (250-300 accomplishes the same...

Re: New Year\'s Resolutions

1. Reduce my underbankrolled shots at high LHE games. They relegate me to the $27's every few weeks.

2. Possibly start keeping stats again and/or get PokerTracker.

3. Get SNGPT and play...

Re: Theory: Approach to Very Short Stack Play

In a spot like this, I sometimes like to get in behind an open-pusher with any two, usually giving me a chance to triple up or better. Of course, I'll still open-push any ace, faces, etc. I think...

This is so straightforward - it just depends what your immediate goals are.

If you want to make the most money right now, play whatever gives you the highest hourly rate. Just be sure to...

Re: Flopping a small set from the BB , how do you play them?

I like betting out too, at it offers you the best chance to build a pot and bust someone or double up, but why the whole pot? You want callers. Lead for half or 2/3. People will come along with...

Re: $33: 4 hands from yesterday\'s losing session

1. Fine.

2. I'd have made a pot-sized bet on the turn. Then when he check-raises you all-in, you might not have that same read (that he thought you were bluffing). As is, it's read dependent. ...

Don't know, I'm not familiar with the games at Party to compare. I promise you'll find your share of donks at Stars too.

Re: PS $27 turbos = PP $?

Sure, any game is beatable. I don't keep the best stats in the world, but I've beaten the $60's pretty significantly (well over 10%, and probably closer to 15-18% over thousands while multitabling)....

Re: PS $27 turbos = PP $?

I think there's a much bigger skill difference between the $60's and $114's than the $27's to the $60's, though I guess it's a matter of opinion to some degree.
