I don't talk that much online but I generally noticed that the pissed players are usually easier to win off than the composed players.

On the Crypto skins it seems like you can set your location to whatever you want, and you can even make screen names identical to other players if you make the account on a different skin....

What if the pot were smaller?

If the pot were smaller (say just $45 on the flop), would it be worthwhile just calling the raise on the flop and trying to check-raise MP out of the pot on the turn?

Buy-in in a kill game

In my normal small stakes B&M limit game I'll buy in for 20-25 BB. Since 96.4% of the players are loose-passive, it handles nicely.

What should I do in a 4/8 game with a kill? I played in my...

Re: Why do you play no-limit? Why do you play limit?

I mainly play limit. I originally chose it because there's less danger of losing my money too fast. The swings in no-limit can be gut-wrenching. Plus, I like the strategy and math requirements of...

Chopping etiquette

Playing a 4/8 kill game in Calgary last week.

A pretty loose game was undergoing a spell of tightness. It was folded to me in the SB. I had 66. A couple people at the table (neither me nor the...

Re: Quiz from Phil Gordon\'s website

6 clean outs, 3.25:1 immediate odds ($65 in pot, $20 to call), and the played who opened the betting on the flop is still to act? Without any reads (as apparently is the case here), I fold.

Re: The SSH for NL?

I'd still recommend SSHE. The things it teaches you about terrible players, hidden outs and all that are essential.

You'd Cold call a 3bet against unknowns? I wouldn't.

Re: A7soooooted. play along?

With 4 for sure and possiblly 6 opponents in this hand I think you COULD call. However you have to fold everything except a flush.

Even if you flop a 4-flush it's going to be expensive to...

Re: JJ against 3 bet and an overcard paired board

[ QUOTE ]
You don't think recommending a cap is results oriented?

[/ QUOTE ]

I do. It results in me winning a huge pot because I'm starting with the 4th-best hand. Cap that [censored].

Re: Pocket TT against a TAG (limited sample)

The four-straight, three-flush and villain's resistance to going away thus far make this a check-call river for me.

What would you have done if he raised you on the river?

I raised so I could take a free card should I need one.

Re: AA vs. single suit board

I'd do what you did.

There's a raise and 3 cold-callers. I'm a little concerned about a slowplayed flush at that point.
On the turn I would bet/fold at any non-spade (including those that pair...

Re: Flopped nut flush, in position, being bet into... line?

I would think they would be very wary of the new guy at the table and treat your show of strength as a show of strength.

Since BB led at the pot, and he's new to you, there's reason to believe...

Re: SSHE and Micro-Limits

Absolutely yes.

Remeber that the starting hands are starting point. The key to getting better is to learn why the hands are right to play in certain situations.
