Re: How much should i bet?

Consider this:

Every call your opponent makes is either correct or incorrect, given his pot odds and win percentage. When you bet too much for your opponent to call correctly, yet he calls...

Re: TPNK in BB vs. UTG limper, WPT Champ. supersatellite

I'd bet the flop instead of going for the check-raise.

Is it feasible to play the PP guaranteed satellites and qualify for <$50/night?

Re: Beginner\'s Question Re: Outs

I don't know if you're really trying to crunch the numbers or not, but there is an easier way. Multiply your outs by 2 after the flop to get the (%) chance of hitting on the turn. Multiply by 4 to...

Re: Nut straight, paired board, on the bubble

Fold. Your opponent clearly has four 9's.

Re: Bet Sizes

If you think you have the best hand after the river, why not bet an amount that will get called? If you think your opponent is calling with middle pair, fire out a value bet of however much you...

Re: How much should i bet?

Wow, I didn't even realize he said that. You would be betting your strong hands hard and your weak hands hardly at all. You'd never bet the full pot either. I don't know where you got this idea, I...

Re: Was I wrong here? PF... post flop? Stars 20 + 2

I either call or raise here depending on my table image. I would never fold here, no harm in calling t30 and folding if there's a raise.

Re: Strategy Adjustments

2500 chips with 25/50 blinds is not short-stacked, you have 50xBB. In the re-buy stage, push your big draws and play your strong hands fast. Your opponents are going in with weak hands and putting...

Re: How much should i bet?

Bet more on the turn, the pot is larger and so should your bets to make calling on a draw incorrect.

Also, when you say 30% to hit his draw, do you mean by the river or by the turn? This makes a...

Re: WSOP Pstars Qualifer Pocket Tens

Bet more on the flop against two opponents and 2,500 in the pot. You underbet the turn too, probably an even bigger mistake. 1300 into what, 4500?

Re: What is a good winrate for satellites?

No, I wouldnt be willing to put that amount up. I want to know if it's possible to get in with maybe $50/night playing multiple satellites.

Re: What is a good winrate for satellites?

Upping this post instead of starting a new one...

I'm also curious how much money I could save by playing satellites for the Party nightly tournaments. Anyone?

Re: Should you ever \"survive\" through the bubble period?

I'd push here if it was folded to me in late position. If it wasn't the bubble I'd push from any spot in an un-raised pot. You didn't mention where you were sitting and how deep the big stacks...

Re: Should you ever \"survive\" through the bubble period?

I would probably take into account how deep the big stacks in the tournament were, and how much money you'd make by waiting/winning.

Re: Bad all-in?

If your opponents are folding to mini-raises late in tournaments, and the stacks aren't very deep, mini-raising is all that's necessary to steal the blinds.

Re: Way in front or way behind

I see no reason to believe you're way behind here. Bet 1/2 the pot but be cautious if he cold calls your bet on a board like this.

Re: Bad all-in?

I think mini-raising has it's place in NL tournaments. This is not it though.

Positive EV?

A friend of mine wants to buy me into a $50+10 buy-in tournament with 15 players. He's asking for half if I cash. With $750 in the pot and pay-outs to the top three, would I be correct in saying that...

Re: Under raise rules question...

1) I may be wrong, but I believe if UTG calls 400, and UTG+1 goes all-in for 700, the betting isn't re-opened for UTG. It's just considered an all-in, not a raise. 800 or more would re-open the...

Re: Flopped flush, help please

Push when you're re-raised. He most likely has an overpair with a big spade, and is drawing to 7 outs. I'd bet more than 300 on the flop and call an all-in. In fact, going all-in on this flop...
