Betting on soccer???

I have been browsing through the 2+2 sports betting forums to get my education in sports betting and kind of have a general idea of the difficulty of making profitable bets within any given sport....

UB $10+1 sat for $200+15 2006 WSOP DE - Push with 2pair in BB?

This is the $10+1 sat tourney on UB that pays entries into a $200+15 DE to 2006 WSOP main event.

I am at a table that doesn't have any solid players at it. I haven't played more than two hands...

Re: UB only place running qualifying tourneys for 2006 WSOP ME?

Hey. That sounds as good a reason to me and makes sense. I was just curious why so early. I don't object and am going to take advantage of it. Maybe we can create a list of the sites that are...

UB only place running qualifying tourneys for 2006 WSOP ME?

I saw that UB has started running qualifying tournaments for the 2006 WSOP. It looks as if this is their first week doing it as well and they could be sending up to five people in the first week....

Re: Strategy for when you are card dead?

Ya. Thats what I was thinking. I have this tight/conservative image, but am aggressive with it at the same time. Should I try to pick up blinds more than anything at this moment? But then what do I...

Strategy for when you are card dead?

My general strategy for when I first start in a tournament is to play a conservative but strongly when I do enter a pot. I want people to know that I play only premium hands and when I enter a pot...

Re: Three Strats So Far...

Thanks a bunch. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Maybe I will start keeping a notebook of the super AG that I do play against so I can tailor my moves more to them. More instinctively agianst the ones I...

Three Strats So Far...

So far it seems like there are three strats that can be used against a super-agro (at least to my limited knowledge).

The Rope-a-Dope when you check your genuinely strong hand to the super-agro to...

Re: Defensive plays against super-agro players - What plays to use?

Seems like the Rope-a-Dope strategy, but you are obviously making a bet before the river to get them to check to you in the future when you have a draw.

But is that a strategy we really want to...

Defensive plays against super-agro players - What plays to use?

Still relatively new to the tournament scene but have been learning a great deal lately. I did recently play in a tournament where I ran into a super-agro player on my right who I think I play fairly...

Re: Blind Defense Vs TAGgy

True, but do you think the villian would try to induce a bluff after C/R on the turn with just one other player in the pot?

I would check behind here as well as the river completed a straight and...

Arts Right...

ArturiusX is right on this one. I think a bet compulsory. You could very well still be ahead in this hand and you have position, so you can outplay them after the flop as well.

Even though you...

Re: Loose player got me dead on the turn? (3bet or not?)

Hmmm... So more times than not I want to see a showdown. Would you say I am beat most the times in this position, cuse the player was weak and he wasn't betting his strong draws at all.

Can we...

Looking at the odds... Trying to justify a call

Well if we look at it, it is 8-1 for me to call on the turn. I guess what I should of asked more clearily is what should I be trying to beat here so that I can draw out to two pair or better?

Do...

Loose player got me dead on the turn? (3bet or not?)

This hand came up between me and a loose player. His VPIP is 55.5% with an agro of 1.36. Anyways I found this hand a pecular hand. What ought I be thinking about the villians hand on the turn? Also...

Taking different lines later as opposed C/Rbetting the pot on the flop

I don't want to give a ton of credit to the preflop raiser for being a card playing genious here, but with that said I think there are two things here that we can do.

1)Check-raise here
If we...

Re: Hand I wanted comments on

I think you were just betting on the turn to show aggression. Its good to know that someone will fold to aggression, but after he calls your large raise on the flop, you have to let this one go. He...

Running the board... Ahhhh?

Why are they running the board on the river like 2 or 3 times. I don't understand this. Are they making bets on the side too or something?
