Re: Question about MTT ROI versus 1 table ROI (Mark Blade)

[ QUOTE ]
Do you guys actually believe that "many" pros are pulling in 5*buy-in?

[/ QUOTE ]
Not in the long run. But I also suspect that no one has played enough MTTs at any given level to...

Re: First time ever called a donkey - Could it be true?

I like leading out if I'm HU with the PFR because (a) it will reek of a steal, (b) I want to build the pot and (c) most opponents will smell a rat and shut down if you take any other line. But here,...

Re: QQ UTG vs. good players

Sorry I let this one languish for so long. I don't have anything to add to the analysis that's already been given by you all. I don't have the HH in front of me, but IIRC the hand went like this:

Re: WSOP evaluation email?

Re: trains from nyc to ac

[ QUOTE ]
NJ Transit NY Penn to AC (transfers in Trenton and Philly) is $25.75 and takes about 4.5 to 5 hours total.

[/ QUOTE ]
In my experience it's more like 2.5-3 hrs.

QQ UTG vs. good players

MP2 and BB are solid aggressive players, SB is a LAG caller donk. My image this session is tight and unusually aggro (VPIP of something like 15% and PFR of 11%).

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $2...

Re: A masterful play by Sirio11

A similar call by Estfandiari vs. Negreanu in a cash game, from Negreanu's blog:

As for the poker, that went extremely well today too. I had my best day at the table, but I still feel...

You shouldn't be arguing with the people at the table, ever.

Re: apple mac software

Check out poker-mac.com. Your friend is probably going to have to invest in a copy of VirtualPC to play the PC sites.

Re: 2+ year gap

If you have to explain a gap make up some BS such as travelling or saying that you attempted to start your own business (somewhat true) but it did not go as planned. No need to say what...

Re: responding to a larger-than-pot-size check-push.

I wish I hadn't see the results, but FWIW I would usually fold this. I tend to give new players with big stacks some credit until I see them show down a few hands. Note that the part of his stack...

Re: OT: STTF NYC Get together

For a place that's good and cheap and that can handle a big group, I suggest Village Yokocho down on 9th St. & 3rd Ave. Japanese bar food, with some Korean stuff too. I'm not 100% sure if I'm going...

Re: Should I wear sunglasses and baseball cap to a major tournament?

I custom-ordered prescription shades for this year's WSOP ME. Completely mirrored with almost no tint so I could see clearly. I wasn't used to wearing shades at the table but adjusted to them...
