[/ QUOTE ]

IMO the majority of the online-poker-playing world *is* Christian. "And it's not even that close."

It seems like the games have gotten a lot tough since this summer.

Re: $11 - QQ, A turns

What 45suited said. Bet the turn! He's running out of chips and is unlikely to risk them without a hand. Your check on the turn exposes you to the bluff.

So he had Ace-x of hearts? or less likely...

Re: 5.50 How do I play this JJ on the flop?

[ QUOTE ]
How would you bet this hand if you had AK? That's how much I would bet here. And you can safely fold if called, repopped.

Re: River decision/am I committed?

[ QUOTE ]
You have 640 chips and the pot is 220 to you on the flop. There's no "playing post flop" here.

Just get it in on the flop. All other options are worse.

Ditto.

Re: $33 - Can I get away from this overpair.

He's loose and you're short compared to him.
He just raised half of the rest of your stack ... he is either trying to entice a call / push, or he's trying to bully you off the pot.
Have you ever...

Re: ($16) AA and turn decision

I think you're in serious trouble (Villain very possibly has a set or a flush), and if I'm in your shoes and can keep from falling in love with my aces, I fold. You still have ~1000 chips if you do.

Re: ($22) TT as overcards

What SammyKid11 said. Raise preflop.

I think you're up against an OESD, a paired 8, or both. Maybe 99 or 77 (or the nightmare, a set).

I'd say bet half his stack on the turn, but if you know...

Hillary for President is a conservative wet-dream, not anything resembling reality. I personally don't believe she will be nominated, but if she is it's a SURE loss in the general election, for the...

Re: Why would anyone raise 2x the blind?

I've minraised like that to test for a limp re-raise by an early player. If he comes in for a big raise, I dump the hand.

[ QUOTE ]
what if we have AK or AQ instead of JJ, and the villain pushes, should we call?

NO!
You've got to be the pusher, not pushee, with those.

Re: OT-Where do you play?

Pokerstars is my first choice.
Stars has better software and better tournament structure. Party's lower chip count means IMO more luck is involved -- the blinds start eating away at you too fast.

Re: (Turbo $16) first hand JJ, MP

Raise!
Since it's 10/20, raise to 80-100.

edit: since it's a turbo, you've got fewer chances to play good hands. There's an argument for raising more -- some gambooling donk may call you when he...
