Re: Hollywood - Aurora, IL

I've been there a couple of times, my sister-in-law lives near there.

I played the 10/20 and thought it was juicy. Many players I sat with were loose/weak. There are some decent players, but...

Re: Is this shooting an angle?

I did this last week at the Borgata 10/20, not on purpose. Long story short, I was in the CO with AKo and the board was all junk. By the river I was heads up with a calling station. He checked,...

Re: Borgata & cell phones

My T-Mobile MPx220 does the same thing. It actively searches for a signal, which drains the battery at an alarming rate.

One more question for the Cingular owners. Do you get a serviceable...

Re: Borgata & cell phones

Thanks, I'm switching over.

I guess that says something about me that I will switch to a more expensive cell phone plan for my poker habit...

Borgata & cell phones

First of all I'd like to say I'm not one of those people who will talk on their cell phone at a poker table. But my question is, does anyone with Cingular get good reception in the Borgata's poker...

Re: When can I expect to find HOH II in my local Barnes and Nobles

Still nothing here in the Philadelphia burbs. I am surprised since they were showing up in NY last weekend, and today is Friday. Serves me right for not preordering.

Re: Brief A.C. news

Same kind of player as their $6/$12. I made the jump recently and it is no big deal.

Re: When can I expect to find HOH II in my local Barnes and Nobles

hahaha I am looking forward to it too, but not that angry about it. I have checked all of my local Borders (I live 30 seconds from the Philadelphia NW border) and none of them have it yet.

Re: They were getting slight pot odds, but would you do this?

I was pretty surprised at the time. But the more I thought about it afterwards the more I realized it was not as crazy a move as I initially thought when I saw that 68o. Once they went in for the...

They were getting slight pots odds, but would you do this?

This hand crippled me in a online tourney. Top 17 spots got WSOP seats, 18-30 got cash.

We're less than 10 spots from the money. I had been treading water around 10BBs. I was getting below...

Re: Borgatas new tournament setup.

I've played in both formats. Same caliber of player. The new format makes the play a little tighter at the beginning, but not that much different. Definitely more subdued atmosphere, much less...

Re: $100 + $20 at borgata

Hey Templar999,

Here are my thoughts on the hand. I don't claim to be an expert. I have played a bunch of tournaments at the Borgata and am familiar with the kinds of players at them.

#1: I...

Re: Trop vs Taj Tournaments

The Borgata recently changed their daily tournaments to a freezeout structure.

Side note - I played in one on Thursday and asked the dealer when they switched to the freezeout structure. He...

Re: I got an issue of ALL-IN magazine yesterday

The content is so weak. The fact that they call it "The World's Leading Poker Magazine" on the cover is a complete joke.

Re: Consensus Needed: Caro\'s Book of Tells

You will find that in some cases Caro's Book of Tells nails it perfectly. Last week I was in a Hold'em tourney at the Borgata. One guy at the end of the table was getting a little frustrated. On...
