Re: Need advice on moving up.....
I think that when you start thinking of your winning and losing streaks in terms of Big Bets instead of $$$, that you are ready to move up. Provided, of course, that you have a substantial bankroll,...

Re: Am I too afraid of the suck out??
Tough call, IMO. I don't think that you are wrong either way, but with that board he easily could have had a weak ace or king as well as a flush or gutshot draw, so in this case I think I bet. If I...

Could I have extracted more from this guy?
I think I played this hand OK, but am wondering if anyone would have played it differently, i.e. check raised the river.

Re: who goes back for more?
Sometimes you make a good hand and get beat by a better one. I don't think you did anything that horrible here, other than running into a bigger set /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: who goes back for more?
re-reraise. If he plays back at you I think you have to call, and are probably looking at 66 or JJ or (hoepfully), 22 or the nut flush.

Re: who takes the free card?
I think you have to bet as you probably have the best hand. If you didn't, you would have heard about it when the turn hit (or if you get c/r'd). If he is on the nut flush draw (or made it), he has...

Re: QQ checking the turn
Bet the turn. Maybe you win it right there. If you get check-raised then you know you are beat and can lay it down. If they are still around they either have you beat or they are drawing without...

A friend has played twice at a live 3/6, and thinks I am a fool for advising him to stay away from playing ace-rag, any suited cards completing the small blind with ANYTHING and the like. He...

Re: MajorKong is my co-pilot
IMO, there is no way you lay that down. Most Party LL tables are loosey goosey, so you have to assume others will limp behind you. I'd rather get in for only 1 bet, but the fact that a player in MP...

Major Leak: How to play AK when you miss the flop
I usually play 1/2 at Party, and the games are usually loose. Often I will raise with AK. If the flop comes J64r, what is the proper play? If I am in EP do I bet it trying to represent that the...

Re: Top pair, horrible kicker
I agree that this hand is tricky. I think more than anything else in this situation you need some sort of read on your opponent. What would he limp in LP with? Is he loose enough to play K8? ...

Re: Set of Jacks in trouble
IMO MP either has no tens, or has 2 of them. I think I call it down here, as getting raised would make me throw up.

Re: I feel like a fish
The only fish move here is maybe calling the flop, but I think (as stated in the "Quiz" earlier in the week) at a loose low-limit table, this is a must call, as you have the nut flush draw and the...
